We were a little lucky today - but better than being unlucky, so eff it. 3 points is 3 points.
There is nothing to be excited about with our team, unfortunately - no star player, no exciting style. It's all a bit flat.

Bellerin and Xhaka must surely be dropped permanently now???
Welbeck deserves to get a run in the team - he's probably the best of our strikers.
Ramsey at least showed a little going forward, but his defensive ability is so poor. If he is to be played, it needs to be as a #10. Forget all the box to box nonsense. he's not that.

Finally - Wilshere is utterly sh#t (use and i or an o in place of the # - they both work)

Exactly, he's be a RWB at best, he is no winger and his crosses are always slow to be released as well, he almost over played that Welbeck goal.

He nutmeged the defender straight to welbs feet. There's literally nothing to complain about on that assist. It was actually quite sick.

Shame about his defensive performance though

If he had played it quicker the defender wouldn't of even been there.

Multiple times today he didn't cross it first time of asking and it ended up blocked or over played, he finally got one break which relied on a nutmeg ......... that doesn't excuse the habit.

Also he's so fkin lazy when people pass to him, if it doesn't land right on his toes he won't even move to get the ball ......... that was why him and Torreia had a bust up.

It's because he can't cross at all. He had to rely on a pass because he couldn't cross earlier

Bellerin should never be in the first 11 for now.
Xhaka should not be paired with Guendouzi.

I really hope Reiss Neslon gets a chance instead of Iwobi.

3 points is 3 points, take em all, not our best, lady luck with us again, WH should have put at least 4 or 5 passed us if they had taken their chances but they didn't so tough shite on them.

Hmm, yes. Unfortunately, you are correct, he's the best we have.
Aubamayang was dreadful today again (really lightweight and looks ill-suited to the PL) and Lacazette is more of a chaser - wins a few tackles and pressures a bit, but not a striker.
Leaves Iwobi, I guess - maybe he and Welbeck up front?
We should not have sold Giroud - he's better than all of them.

Missed Auba last season then?

He didn’t scuff it and fall over though...

Anyway great three points, wanky performance but still early days.

Auba needs to pull his finger out. Guendouzi was fantastic again, bellerin still needs to learn defensive positioning nearly caused a goal for them.

Glad Ozil didn’t play we would have lost this for sure.

Wtf. How come this has anything to do with ozil. Can you find a more reasonable way to blame ozil?

Not blaming anyone? Just extremely pleased not to see Ozil’s name near my squad, it’s refreshing and hopefully he continues to be a sicknote.

Why's that? Haven't you accepted the fact that Aubamayang and Lacazette are not up to scratch yet? You will eventually.
Of the two I prefer Lacazette - he does work hard and unsettles defences. He can create openings with the way he plays. But, Auba? Sorry, I just can't see anything about him that is top quality.

Jeez, what is it with the hero worship of players?
Here's a hint - not a single one of them gives a stuff about the club. I couldn't care less about names or transfer fees. If they don't play well and look to be struggling I want them dropped. I don't mind any player disappearing and never seeing them play for us again so I am not wedded to reputations, only what they've done lately.
Perform week in week out or get lost is the only way to treat modern day players.

Probably best to discuss Auba more generally in a separate thread.
In today's match, he looked 2nd division level.
