You and me both. I've said it before but I fear Wigan more than I do Newcastle...

So bollocks to them I hope they lose the cup final and get relegated.

Bit harsh, would rather keep teams who like to play football in the league than teams like stoke. Wigan play nice stuff and did something today in the final I don't think arsenal could have done, imo city would have had a far easier game v us than they did against wigan.

Wigan will have all the momentum in the world now. Hope, Stoke hold Spurs to a draw, or better beat them.

It's hard to say. They could be on a roll now but they could suffer from a cup wining hangover like Swansey. A big occasion like that, has to take it out of you, especially when we're playing them so soon after

I'm unsure about what today's result means for the game in mid-week - part of me worries that they'll have the confidence and momentum to really get at us, but another part of me thinks they'll be tired and we'll take them apart 4-0.

Whatever Wigan team turns up shouldn't really matter - we're the better side, and if we play our best we'll win.

I think a relegation battle might sober up a cup winning hangover.

It comes down to who wants it more. Do we want our CL place more than Wigan want PL?

The FA Cup win for Wigan will alert our squad. No complacency, just wear these guys down. They must be tired.

Swansea didn't really have a cup hangover imo I think it was just that the Carling cup final was technically their last competitive game of the season, they had qualified for Europe after the cup win and couldn't get relegated so knowing that has to have an affect on your motivation. Wigan don't have that pleasure, I expect them to turn up and put in the same effort as they did in the final, afterall it pretty much is another cup final for them, if they lose they are down really. Personally i can't see us winning the game, we have the better players but at the moment I would say they have the better work ethic, add to that their morale and confidence will be sky high and we will have big problems.

You can only have one of those 3. I'd love to see stoke go down but I can't see all the results required going that way.

Stoke cannot (realistically) go down, I'm just talking about teams I'd rather see out of the league than Wigan. Wigan are an OK team, they actually play football.

We should write the final rights of Wigan by beating them convincingly on 14th and tie up a long term deal for Callum McManaman.

I hope Arsenal give Wigan (FA Cup Winners 2013) a Guard of Honour.

Wigan wouldn't be in this position if Spurs hadn't snatched that late late equaliser the other week to make it 2-2 against Wigan. Spurs only got 1pt against Wigan though.

I'm worried we'll cock up against Wigan.

And if we send them down, they'll stay down for at least a season as the guaranteed 6 games of the Europa League might be a bit much for them to handle with the extra league and cup games.

Madness is that. I thought they would have to qualify but you're right, straight into the group stage for cup winners from the top 6 nations (coefficient wise)

Stoke are so f***ing shit and were always going to let us down today. Charlie Adam and Pulis belong together.
