In all competitions he's 55 of 126, that's 43% of shots on target

In the BPL he's 33 of 88 on target. 37.5%

In the FAC and COC he doesn't have nearly as many shots but he's at about 90% accurate.

In CL he's at 50% accuracy with 12 shots and 6 SOG.

FWIW...

Podolski is shooting 35.5% in all competitions. He has 53 shots and 19 SOG

Walcott is shooting 50% in all competitions he has 88 shots with 44 SOG

Not that I doubt you, but where did you get this info? It's absolutely shocking if it's accurate.

No worries mate, pulled it off ESPN. I didnt have time to cross reference on Sky or any other sports site though so it could be off but not by much

Gareth Bale has put himself among Tottenham’s top earners by signing a lucrative four-year contract.
But the club’s attempts to keep Luka Modric look remote after the Croatia midfielder said he could no longer fulfil his ambitions at White Hart Lane.
Wales winger Bale, 22, committed his future to the club until 2016 by signing a contract extension.

Deal me in: Gareth Bale has extended his Spurs stay until 2016

It has netted him a significant pay increase, taking his wage to around £75,000 per week, with performance related add-ons on top.

my only qualm with Giroud is when he tries to get involved in build-up play. it was fine when he was hanging inside the box as someone to lob balls too, but now he seems to be dropping deeper and sometimes he's even whipping balls into the box. he has neither the touch, vision, pace or passing ability to play wherever he wants so stay in the box please Olivier; like you were doing a month or so ago

Wilsheres not creating enough that's why he's dropping deeper.

I do admit even though I'd prefer another striker which makes me somewhat dislike him he is a good box striker mainly with his head or goal mouth shots ..... however.

Every time we whip balls over the top for him we risk losing the ball, he's marked (as we play 1 striker) by 2 CB's minimum, so were always taking the chance of just punting it with a cross and hoping he get's on the end of it.

This is why our goal ratio is low with Giroud, how many crosses is he realistically going to convert per game against decent defenders? 1 goal if that, lucky if we get 2.

That style of play is best suited to a 4-4-2 system where you have 2 vs 2 in the box, this has just flown over Wenger's head, AFC is not used to having that type of striker for the way we play.
