Walcott keeps cutting inside and playing as a striker and leaving us light on the right hand side, quite annoying. Giroud didn't get a sniff today, i just hope vertonghen let him out of his pocket after the game.

??

3 times put through. 3 misses.

He had more sniffs than a runny nose.

He just chose (as is his wont) to miss them all.

Another Gervinho.

I remember he got through once but vertonghen got back and tackled him before he could shoot, im not defending him though he is not the calibre we need

Hi Billie,

Have a look at the first half again.

He was in position 3 times with nobody between him and the goal. He managed to spurn each opportunity.

He's not a natural goalscorer, unlike Pod, who is.

However, Wenger persisted with the French genius for 80 minutes.

We saw no ambition from the manager yesterday. We got the result, as a result.

If we don't sign a world class striker in the summer it will be shocking. How wenger thought giroud could come in and carry on from where rvp left off is beyond me

that's harsh IMO. yes, he was horrible yesterday and I think it was his worst game for us so far. BUT the guy isn't that bad as some of you are saying. gervinho is bad and can't score. we saw that during many opportunities. giroud is a good striker. not very good nor worldclass but good. but yes, we need a better striker in the summer that can be first choice. giroud as 2end choice or with another quality striker in a 2-striker formation can be really strong.

Fair enough, that's your opinion on Giroud and I respect your opinion.

however, if you have recorded Arsenals games this season (or even games since December) have a look at teh amount of chances that Giroud manages to miss. seriously. he is a one man disaster zone in front of goal.

IMO, hes not even good. He is truly appalling as an attacker.

Gooney got it right - he is great as a defender, so PLAY HIM THERE AND PLAY POD UP FRONT!!

In all competitions he's 55 of 126, that's 43% of shots on target

In the BPL he's 33 of 88 on target. 37.5%

In the FAC and COC he doesn't have nearly as many shots but he's at about 90% accurate.

In CL he's at 50% accuracy with 12 shots and 6 SOG.

FWIW...

Podolski is shooting 35.5% in all competitions. He has 53 shots and 19 SOG

Walcott is shooting 50% in all competitions he has 88 shots with 44 SOG

Not that I doubt you, but where did you get this info? It's absolutely shocking if it's accurate.

''Tottenham were last night crowned kings of North London''

I know we're behind them in the league (with two months left including some massive games for them) But seriously

Spurs 2 - 1 Arsenal

Arsenal 5 - 2 Spurs

Arsenal 5 - 2 Spurs

Spurs 2 - 1 Spurs

Last four head to heads^ :dontknow:

(don't burst my bubble) :naughty:

From 2003 - 2008 we had 7 wins, spurs had 1 win in the league cup and there were 7 draws. From 2009 to yesterday we have had 4 wins, spurs have had 4 and there has been 2 draws, this shows how things have evened up since 10 years ago.
