didnt see the second half (fell asleep) but reading the comments it would seem a game of goal keepers sounds like Szez kept us in it as much as their keeper did first half

I'm a bit harsh on Ramsey, sick of seeing the give-aways in front of the back 4.

I remember that blunder. That nearly cost us all three points. But besides that he did well today.

Started with 4 British players today and finished with 4 Spanish players. We've never had that many Spaniards turn out for us in a game before have we?

Im guessing Fabregas, Reyes and Almunia played together..

To the user who said Sagna's heading was poor today, he made 11 clearances with his head today. Eleven! How tall is he? 5'9? Only Hoiveld made more headed clearances in the EPL today than Sagna.

Since when are heading ability and number of clearances made linked?

Sagna is good in the air for his size. His goal against Spurs last season is a good example.

One goal doesn't say much about his ability in the air. The number of times he was beaten in the air yesterday does.

Monreal looked dodgy at the back but decent going forward

Chez saved our bacon. That save from Fletcher after he clearly handled the ball

I thought he was quite good in the air. Probably won more headers than Mertesacker.

not hard to do.. a midget wins more then Merts

He was targeted based upon his size. Fletcher was on Sagna all day, hardly ever up against Mert. He did lose some headers today, but given how targeted he was, and playing out of position, he did a good job.

Sagna is a full back. Aerial ability is not the essential quality for a full back.
