Jack was good as usual. Ramsey was better than normal, not a surprise - play someone in their actual position and they won't be bad - shock horror. His game was simplified tonight; pass to Wilshere and get in a position to receive pass from Wilshere.

Podolski and Giroud up front in a 4-4-2 would be orgasmic. Agree on the rest.

I didn't see the game, just listened to commentary, but it sounds like jack and rambo might be a good cm pairing in a 4-4-2 :dontknow:

Im not sure if it was on GW, but ive said Jack-Aaron for a while now. They compliment each other and theyre both engines.

My thoughts exactly.

Against sides like West Ham or Brighton perhaps, but the rest will dominate our midfield.

I think it just stopped the flow of the game mate, two subs around that time as well. It looked like we were still trying to score, but typically against 10 men, everone begins making retarded decisions. You can forgive the hit 'n' hope shots with five minutes to go, but for 15 minutes prior they couldn't calve out a real chance.

Only thing is Rambo's tackling is pretty shoddy play a team that isnt sitting back and he's got perfect red card potential.
He defends like Arteta (not a compliment)
And is average going forward

Decent club = Big problem IMO

Agreed.

He is not cut out for the holding player role.

You don't need a holding player if the rest of midfield picks up the slack.

I thought Diame looked good in his limited appearance tonight. He was powerful, and has pretty quick feet for a big guy. For 3.5 million, even if it doesn't turn out so well, it's not that bad an error of judgement. Better to waste 3.5 million on him than sign another Gervinho-esque disaster for 10 million tops.

Agree, but neither he is suited for the CAM spot imo.

Scholes has been a CM for 20 years in professional football and he still can't make a clean tackle. ;)

This is true!
