If games go our way we could still finish first. Finishing second might not be a bad thing though. We would miss Real and PSG if things stay as they are in their groups too.

Olympiakos away is extremely difficult, they are a bit like Everton when it comes to home games.

Difficult but not impossible.

Yeah it will be doubly difficult because they have a chance of qualification too.

Yup.

Very tough team to get a result against in their own backyard.

Not the best of games but we did very well until their first goal considering that it was an away game with many players missing for us.

Both goal could've been easily avoided, caused by careless ball handling (Cazorla) and awful marking (Verm). At least Mannone was superb tonight, he is turning out to be our number one easily.

Who was missing? Ramsey? Chamakh? Would they have made a difference?

I think he ment players who we could bring in and with the potential to make a diffirence. (Gervinho, Diaby, Ox, Gibbs,...)

Before tonight's game, i would've been satisfied with a point away from home against a very good Schalke team. However, i'm disappointed that we've only come away with a draw, especially after taking a two-goal lead. That said, we did not do enough to warrant all three points anyway.

Just watched the game. I'll take the draw considering our form going into the game. I'm glad Wenger dropped Santos and played a natural winger on the right. Made a huge difference on our overall play.

*Mannone played well again
*Cazorla looks tired. He needs at least a week and a half of rest imo
*Koscielny looked much improved today. Made some good forward runs
*Wilshere seems to be getting better and better with each game. Nothing special, but he was everywhere today
*Sagna is such a reliable RB. Glad he's back from injury
*Good goals from Theo and Giroud

Schalke, imo, is the toughest team in our group and now that they are out of the way, we really should be taking the maximum points from our last two games *finger crossed*
Ramsdale
(Turner/Hein)
White Saliba Gabriel Zinchenko
(Tomiyasu/Niles) (Timber/Holding) (Trusty/Kiwior) (Tierney/Tavares)
Odegaard(c) —- Rice
(Xhaka/Lokonga) —- (Partey/Elneny)
Havertz
(Jorginho/Vieira)
Saka Jesus Martinelli
(Pepe/Nelson) (Nketiah/Balogun) (Trossard/ESR)

Clear sign of a side not defending well enough as Souness (of all people pointed out)
*Cazorla looks tired. He needs at least a week and a half of rest imo
Agree
*Koscielny looked much improved today. Made some good forward runs
Not his job to make forward runs, one of our biggest issues defensively is them being 20/30 yards out of position
*Wilshere seems to be getting better and better with each game. Nothing special, but he was everywhere today
Agree
*Sagna is such a reliable RB. Glad he's back from injury
Shame we dont have a left back of his ilk
*Good goals from Theo and Giroud
Think Giroud will continue to improve with games

I knew we would make it hard work for ourselves, never can make light of a job

Mannone hardly played well. He let through two he should of stopped, the second particularly was a terrible effort. plus his f***ing tendancy to punch ones he should catch.
if failing to make goal saving saves and catching a few straight at him chest catches constitutes a good performance then our standards really have dropped.

Walcott is a f***ing disgrace. his effort was abysmal and everything he touched bar the goal turned to wank. he slowed down attacks, passed backwards when we had counter attacks going, fell over whenever he tried to dribble, stole the ball off podolski when he was clearly offside - and missed anyway, missed a chance to win us the game, crossed the ball repeatedly over everyone and out for a goalkick or throw in and most f***ing annoying of all was a 60 yard cross field ball to him that he literally stood still and watch float towards him and drop 5 yards short without moving towards it he allows the defender to bring it down comfortably and play it forward - it was that attack that huntelaar ended up having the 1 on 1 he should of scored, why the f**k was theo not at least putting a jump in or using his body, to stand still and literally watch the defender intercept was a disgrace and sums up his lazy c*** attitude.
won't sign a contract, good riddance.

the defence was a joke, its a team learning the offside trap and still struggling very badly, out of position and looking confused constantly.
it was pretty much our strongest side out today and another poor showing. we played like the good side we have in the first half, then its back to the usual lazy half arsed effort with no intent or cutting edge. our players would rather try fancy one touch flicks which rarely pay off once we reach the final third instead of looking to shoot or play a through ball.

we simply looked knackered in that 2nd half and we've got f**k all depth to be able to change that.

^^ Mannone was out best player, he saved at least 2-3 sure goals and the goals we did concede were not his fault, first goal Cazorla lost the ball and the defence were not ready and in the second goal Verm was not marking his man on the left and on top of that scored an own goal).

Walcott wasn't great but at least he provided a spark on the right, which was nonexistent lately, he also didn't give up on the Giroud chance and poached the goal in. Yes he missed a couple of chances but he was better than out main striker which says something.. the bloke can't get pass a defender to save his life and has no technical ability at all part from scoring a feet from goal (even that he has managed to miss).

Defence was decent, the main problem is at LB, Santos is crap and Verm is used to playing CB so it's far from ideal.. When Gibbs is back things will be better though we need to buy in January a good LB to compete with Gibbs.
