Anybody who put in his money on a dozen goals scored on the night must be laughing all the way to the bank.

who picks the side then?
mariappa and kebe not injured to my knowledge and pogrebnyak and mcanuff were on the bench and came on
i would,nt be making excuses for arsenal had we lost
i damn sure aint gonna make em for anybody else.
too many managers have brought into this rest and rotatition for the cups
play your squad by all means but if you lose don,t hide behind it
i expect everyone selected to be pulling there pipe out to win everything

The manager picks the side, obviously. That doesn't mean they're at full strength though, I don't even get what point you're getting at. Were Arsenal at full strength last night, were all their best players playing?

its a squad game mate
when you beat us in the league cup semi in 03/04
i did,nt dream of claiming you beat a shadow arsenal side
you beat our squad
inc
toure,keown,cygan,clichy,gilberto,edu,parlour,kanu,edu reyes.
been lucky enough to see us in 4 league cup finals
i was desperate for that year to be number 4
i am as desperate for this year to be number 5
i don,t understand managers disregarding the cups for a few quid in league points
i guess thats what seperates fans from the moneymen
i hope we meet again in this years league cup semi
i would like the chance of revenge

Was only 85/1 to win 5-4 in normal time so I stayed away from it. My mate backed the 4-4 draw afrer normal time when it was 4-1.

But you do have to be a prat to condescend to people many hours after the fact. It's not big or clever

We were 4-0 down, people had every right to be fuming.

still not really sure what to make of that game. i mean, fantastic that we won after being 4-0 down, amazing comeback, and hopefully this gives the team a lot of confidence.

however, being 4-0 in the first half in inexcusable against any team, and it was just shambolic defending all round really, the sort of game that nobody really comes away from looking good - more a case of f***ing awful compared to slightly less terrible.

Still at least we won. Now we need to take confidence from the result, learn the lessons from the mistakes made, and sure as hell make sure we don't start like this against United on Saturday, because the last thing we need right now is a repeat of last year's travesty.

85/1 isn't too bad. I wonder if anyone put some money on it.

They would have lost if they had.

Really wasn't very great after the half either honestly. At least it wasn't any 1st choice players out there.

who says its big or clever
is it good to be in a football ground moaning that we are all doomed or better to send out the message that we are never beaten till its over?
i was,nt happy at 4-0 down who would be but i would never give up

I am still on a massive high after last night. I thought i was not too bothered about the League Cup. With the circumstances in mind it just feels like one huuuuuge victory. Now with a totally different line up we go to United next. And i ohhhh cannot wait.
I want Carl Jenkinson back in a Arsenal shirt next season.

This match should give the first team the mentality to come back if we concede first on the weekend.
