frankly you're blind if you think he's not one of our most dangerous players

Oh please, start against Man U my arse. He was anonymous for 46 minutes, and scored against Reading, he will not be afforded that space against Manure and he won't get anywhere against Evra.

I hope the little **** leaves in January, he has always been an overated one trick pony.

scored and won the penalty in the 8-2 debacle

Well, Im not sure which was more fun. Watching Arsenal's comeback last night or reading the posts from about 7.40pm last night on this Thread!!

The performances were in three different categories as I saw it

superb
Theo - 2.5 goals plus 3.5 assists - he gave the 4th - the equaliser to Jenks adn threw the match ball away when interviewed on SKy afterwards - great TV - as it was Jenks first goal for Arsenal - classy gesture by Theo. I've often wondered about Theo's attitude. I'm not going to wonder any more. i hope he signs for us. He was brilliant last night.

Jenks - an Arsenal fan who plays for his supported club. No wonder he never gives up. Thought he worked, worked, worked doing the hod carrying for others who created etc. I love his attitude.
Miquel - cant figure why he was criticised here - thought he distributed teh ball very well and linked the play between defence/attack really well all night. Ran out of legs which was to be expected.
Giroud - impact sub yes?? Fantastic mature performance. Caused havoc from the moment he thundered onto the pitch. Lucky to be only yellowed for a MAD foul on their player, but their guy to be fair jumped straight up. Crash bang wallop.

Superb and Stupid
Arshavin - did he assist in 3 or more? put in a great shift all night and showed for the ball continually - deserved the 6th goal stopped on the line - as someone here said, takes the 4th option with 3 others available every time ie passes to opponent. so frustrating
Kocielny - OG, great goal, awful defending, incredibly didn't get red card, no shortage of commitment all night
Chamakh - passenger for 90 minutes and then used his reserves of unspent energy superbly in ET!
Gnarby - tried hard but took the wrong option a few times - youthful exuberance to blame. Lots of ability and could be a real find.
Eisfeld - not as good with distribution as many here think watch ET again - he will also learn from experience - worked really hard and seems to find space very well
Martinez - poor guy was exposed time and again at teh back - bad mistake for 3rd goal, but made a couple of super saves in ET - the one at 4-4 was crucial following frozen defending again - hopefully will learn from last night

Stupid
Djourou - captain - experienced - performed dreadfully - poor passing, lost his marker time and again. all round terrible showing
Coquelin - does this guy EVER look interested in football. Distribution was shocking all night, as was his covering. Gave up chasing a guy at one stage and they almost scored from it. No football brain at present. Will continue to feature as he is French.
Frimpong - A guy I hoped would do well last night. The game passed him by and he never got to teh pitch of it- his frustration almost boiled over at one stage. Can't recall a positive contribution by him last night. Rightly subbed.

Meade- didn't feature enough to fit into the above categories for me. What height is he? Certainly NOT 5'11!!

Giroud was my MOTM.

Came on and changed the game and before he was on we looked spent, flat and all out of ideas.

MOTM between Theo and Giroud.

But what was up with with Koscielny? He was rubbish last night, imo. Lucky to stay on the pitch and getting schooled by bloody Jason Roberts throughout the 90 mins.
Turn the other cheek too often and you get a razor through it.

The manager picks the side, obviously. That doesn't mean they're at full strength though, I don't even get what point you're getting at. Were Arsenal at full strength last night, were all their best players playing?

went to this game and it's up there with the Chvs away last season, reading fans only started to make some noise in the 93rd minute so it was great to get that last minute goal

People wanting Theo to play against United are setting themselves up for disappointment. He just played 120 min of frantic football after just returning from injury, he's got to be warn out. 3 days isn't enough to recover.

I say bench on Saturday. Start after that.
This space used to be more fun...
