Two wins out of two in the CL and people still moaning. No matter what the opposition is, no game is easy in CL. No team can perform at 100% all the time. I am happy we have got back to winning after the dismal defeat at the weekend. we have shown this season that we can be organized defensively especially away at Liverpool. I think Verms needs to be wrapped on his knuckles for going gung ho especially when we were defending a slender lead. We looked seriously vulnerable on the crosses and i am sure Bouldy will be at it in the training ground. The goal-keeper and the two center-backs must function like a unit when it comes to dealing with cros and any lack o understanding can prove to be very costly like we saw against Chelsea and also yesterday. There were plenty of positives though.

Ramsey looked good.

Giroud did everything but score. Held the ball up well, won crucial headers and got in to decent positions.

Gervinho scored again and i am sure it will boost his confidence.

Walcott looked lively when he came on.

I seriously believe Podolski is being criminally wasted on the left flank and we need to get him involved more by playing him through the middle.

And the fact this win plus malaga's win earned me £230 it was welcome anyway shape or form.

But he spent most of the rest of the game being pretty ineffective and frustrating. I can't remember a CL group game at home when we have created so little and had so few shots on goal before.

He was offside for a large portion of the first half, kept getting called for dopey fouls (although that was mainly the ref being a t**t) and IMO we looked like a much more balanced team when we put a proper CF up front.

we had less attempts on goal in all our champions league home games last season
less against partizan belgrade and barcelona in 10/11
less against barcelona in 09/10
same as against kiev in 08/09
same as against sparta prague in 07/08
less than against zagreb and hamburg in 06/07
less than against ajax in 05/06
same as againt psv in 04/05
less than against panathinaikos and bayern munich 04/05
same as against auxerre less than against psv 02/03
