A good story well told. It will never...could never.... happen again.

Probaly the most amazing club football match in history
Corinthians 15:57; But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus

Just come back to this one.

Additional:

After the game, and I really haven't got the foggiest what time we finally left the ground, but there was this pub quite (seemingly) close to the away end, I remember going past it earlier in the day, and it had all these banners outside "Congratulations Liverpool" and I don't know what, and a few of us taunted the place.

Give them their due, because when we were out of the ground, they'd turned it into an Arsenal pub and Arsenal flags were hanging outside. I was in there until stupid o'clock, and given that in those days it was a strict 11pm licence, the owners did us proud.

As stated, I have absolutely no idea what time I got out of the place, but there were a fair number of us all grabbing the first available black cab, I vaguely remember standing and falling over waiting for one, my next memory is of the Echo seller at the train station some time after 7am. I reckon we were in there until at least 5am, I was slaughtered beyond belief!

A happy night I could talk about over and over again (well, the bits I can remember!)

A brilliant read SE13,it's just as i remember it made me get a bit emotional actually!Don't know weather you can recall but after 'Smudger's' goal 'The Bear' makes an appearance by getting on the track and celebrating being persued by a copper!!(RIP),i was just behind but got a whack by another so couldn't get on!
To be honest it must've been the best moment for any Arsenal supporter who actually was there, having said that even for those watching it on tv (which i must admit i've lost count the ammount of times i have!)must've been special!

I remember seeing D before the game, but never actually noticed him doing the celebration until years later via youtube, and that was only because another person who was there pointed it out  I was a fair way to the back of the terrace, and in the explosion after the goal went in, I was too busy to see anything anyway!

I love it when we get "older" members joining up who can remember nights like this, or the terrace era in general. Happy days, and brilliant memories.

I think that makes three of us from here that were there that night now.

Just watching this again. What an absolute night. I think of all the members here, only me and Libs were there, but share if you were please.

Take a moment to think about Libs, he's my sort oge, and gave up because of the negativity....

First time I'd ever seen us beat Liverpoo at Smamfield, and what a night followed.
