We need a proper response for this game. Villa are looking evermore ropey as the season wares on, so i expect us to bounce straight back to winning ways.

A Zedie said, we need to bounce back with a vengeance for this one and put a poor Villa side to the sword.

Van Persie only has three games to break Shearers record and there are not three other teams out there that will make it easier for him, Villa, Wolves and QPR, he is capable of putting a hat-trick past all of them.

I don't want Chamakh or Arshavin near the squad either.

My team for this one, and I don't think it's unrealistic given injuries.

Szczesney
Koscielny - Mertesacker - Song - Vermaelen
Walcott - Ramsey - Arteta - Gervinho
Van Persie
Park

I don't agree with playing lots of midfielders in games that don't require it, Ramsey and Arteta are more than good enough to keep possession against Villa, Van Persie supporting Park would see a fresh approach up front.

I like that 4-4-2 but you just know Wenger will stick with the same old formation and personnel. I'll be interested to see who fills in for song though.

Oh no doubt mate, we'll see exactly the same team as against ManCity only with Miquel starting at LB.

Gervinho is far more effective than Walcott despite not being able to finish.

AOC much better than either of them provided , he is given a few starts to prove himself...
The only problem would be the inconsistency which is natural given his age and limited experience..

Rosicky and arteta in cn is too lightweight.

Lightweight against Villa? No it isn't.

Man Utd do all right and have you seen their midfield? Not an ounce of muscle anywhere.

Yes it is lightweight.

United have played jones in midfield when necessary, carrick too. They also drill their defence properly.

Rosicky and Arteta are attacking midfielders, they might like to 'get stuck in' and you might get away with them playing deeper roles in a 4-3-3 (as arteta has been) but in a 4-4-2 you can't play both imo.
