He gave Gervinho a rest, and he's mentioned recently (on arse.com) that Benayoun deserves more game time so we might see them. I'm also thinking that Gibbs' injury lay off won't be as long as Sagna's, so playing Santos might not be as much of a risk... plus he could do with the exercise and who the hell else do we have at LB??? Maybe Coquelin at RB simply because he can. Rosicky for experience along with Frimps to give Song a rest, and possibly Diaby in the free-er ATM position.

Maybe this?

Fabinaksi
Coquelin Djourou Miquel Santos
Rosicky Frimps
Diaby
Benyoun Park Gervinho

Two mid-week rests would be twice as good as one though... so missing the Mickey Mouse Cup and the final insignificant CL group fixture wouldn't be too bad.

I think the team I posted above has a good mix personally. Defensively it's a little weak but we can't keep risking Koscielny at RB when both our RB's are injured. The WF pairing of Benayoun and Gervinho is better than the two that played at the weekend (not saying Benayoun's better than Walcott, just that as a pair Benayoun and Gervinho are better than Walcott and... Arshavin )

Possibly Ox on the right and Benayoun in the middle with Rosicky and Frimps... surely that's strong enough?

Ox-man Park Gervinho

Ping-pong, Benayoun, Ox and Park are set to start for us.

Man City are without banned Barry and Balotelli. Kolo Toure, Savic and Hargreaves are likely to start.

How did Yennaris do last time out? I didn't watch it. I think with good enough work infront of the back four, the CB's (even Squid) can have good games... always a little worried about the fullbacks though, especially Miquel isn't an LB.

I though Yennaris was good against Bolton. So was Squillaci but he will get found out by Dzeko if he's not carefull.

Man city will just play the other half of their squad which is probably on par or even better than our 1st team.
