The result isnt the end of the world. And believing the squad is not good enough is also not knee jerk reaction. One thing i hate arsenal with is that we are a reactionary club. We are never proactive. That tells me we dont deserve any success. We deal with things only when its too late. If this club has any ambition it will sort this squad in December and first of january have 2 top class players arriving. Sadly we need few bad result for us to get that. thats why i wouldnt be too down if we are 6-7 points of the top 4 as they will atleast buy then.

If Park is worse than Chamakh, then how bad is he? Reputation aside, what the hell does Arshavin offer the club? At Arsenal you can be average for years and still stay....no other top club would accept this. This is why in my eyes we lack the mentality of a top club and we havent won anything for 7 years. Dont think it will change any time soon

Only saw the highlights today (thanks ESPN twunts). Looks like Ramsey is continuing his poor form in front of goal.
Is he undroppable now? As soon as Rosicky is fit Ramsey should be benched.Theo needs to be more selfish, always squaring the ball for people who are less likely to hit the target.
Tired legs today but we knew that so why didn't we rotate more than two players? I thought that's what the satellite bras were for?

Anyway a draw to Fulham is not the worst result but we should've scraped a win really.

still those 58 years dwindle
worst start in 3 years
on this game in 08/09
silvestre, clichy, fabregas and nasri all below par in a 2-0 home defeat to aston villa
only almunia and theo had good games

yes and it is just an excuse.
it was good news in 05/06
when after beating juventus diaby scored in a 5-0 win against aston villa
and in 06/07 after a disapointing cl exit to psv diaby scored the only goal in a 1-0 win at villa when our champions league place was rocking.
and in 07/08 when following a 3-0 win v sevilla diaby got the opening goal v derby in a 6-0 win a cracker from outside the box
and in 08/09 when following a tricky 2-0 win at celtic diaby scored twice in our win v portsmouth 1 of the goals he started with a defensive header from a corner and finished by sweeping in at the other end.
if you tell someone enough they are tired they become tired.if you are succesfull you play a lot of football
deal with it

the standard of the teams competing for 4th has improved vastly since 08/09, we might have been able to get away with those results in past seasons, but not this one

City only drew as well when we played them. Although we did throw away a 2 goal lead.

I know what you mean but at the same time Ramsey did play well except for in the last third, it wasn't one of his all round poor performances of 2 months ago. When jack misses easy chances we just chuckle and say the goals will come, but Ramsey gets more stick for it. Probably deservedly yes because he is a known goalscorer unlike Wilshere and should do better, but the point remains I feel. Aside from the one he fluffed 10 yards over the bar the one that annoyed me was when he had a very good shooting opportunity on the edge of the box but chose to try and wriggle his way through then tried a tame pass when that didn't work. That's a player who's lost his confidence in front of goal

We will not make the top 4 unless we buy. I would bet my house we wont. Van Persie alone cant do everything. We will lose our second most important attacking player in Gervinho for over a month. There's no depth what so ever. The difference between some players in terms of quality is vast, so there's no competition whatsoever. We all know our front three dont have any competition. there;s no one who can compete with Song in midfield. Wilshere will be another one guaranteed starter. I understand Wenger do this by design so he doesnt have to deal with headaches, but this will be the reason why we wont make the top four

I was out all day so I only just watched the game. We weren't terrible by any means but we were very average. We looked like we had no ideas for most of the game.
I would also like someone to explain Wengers double substitution. Taking of Mert and Rambo for Commander Worf and Diaby (who hasn't played in forever) didn't make a whole lot of sense. Worf yes as he does have some inventiveness but not sure why he took off Mert and pushed Song into the back when he had Djourrou on the park.
Arshavin was the logical choice to go off in my opinion. He huffed and puffed but he was pretty dire at times.
