No new injury returns and Jenkinson out from the squad that went to Marseille.

Think pretty mcuh same team, Djourou at RB and Gerv for Arshavin, rest will stay as they were.

let's see how Merty goes against the Delap throw
will probably be the only time he'll come up against someone taller than him with Crouch

Chesney

Djorou Mertesacker Koscielny Santos

Song Rosicky

Gervinho Arteta Arshavin

RVP

Enough is Enough . Time to bench Walcott . Rest of the team picks itself .
I would love to see Gervinho do better in the final third . He takes the ball till
the touch line and gives it away cheaply neither crossing nor taking the shot on.
I hope he shows some awareness and intelligence in the final third.

I agree with that line up except I think it's time we gave the Ox a go.
He's on better form than Arshavin so why not?
I'd also swap Arteta and Rosicky around.
groom suits for gooners with taste

AOC skill would be good against their defenders i reckon but as AF says its highly unlikely.

I don't see Walcott being dropped unfortunately... hope that I'm wrong. Either Gervinho or Ox I think would offer more, or at the least just as much in the case of Ox. No doubt that Gervinho would offer more.

I agree with Inch, I think Arteta is better used deeper in the midfield, but Rosicky is just as good at either. Interchangeable? :dontknow:

I get the feeling that Arteta can pick the long pass a little bit better, not that Rosicky can't either.
This space used to be more fun...

If u have watched the games closely this season they have actually interchanged . I agree Arteta offers a little
more creativity in spotting long range passes . So depending upon the situation one can support Song while
another support the attack . Its another thing that Song is more eager than either of them to get forward
where they end up supporting each other as well as covering song's ass :sneaky:

Yeah, and I haven't seen as much of Arteta's defensive game as I have with Rosicky's and I feel more confident in Tomas' defending. That's why it's hard to call who you want playing deeper.

I've seen them swap throughout games, but that's really the case with just about everybody in the midfield and wings at some point throughout the game because of the freeflow nature of our attack. (except the aversion to entering the opponent's box )

Well here's the test we were all waiting for, time to see Mertesackers true worth.

Walcott really needs to dropped at his stage,he has been absolutely woeful in recent games and offers f**k all.Give the ox a chance!

Even though Djourou is shite in my opinion,I think we are probably better off with another tall player in the box so I'm not too worried about the right back situation.

Frimpong or Coquelin could be an option in midfield too if things are getting nasty, give those w**kers a taste of their own medicine :sneaky2:

Be nice to see Ox at the very least on the bench.
