Awful debut as in he played badly or awful because of the result? We imploded when Coquelin went off against the Mancs, far more composed on the ball than Frimpong.

I would assume because of the result. We shipped 3 while he was on and 5 after he came off. An inspired sub by Wenger there.

Just saw the highlights again, such horrible misses..

Hopefully we'll have better finishing from now on, we can't afford to miss so much, luckily Szczesny was huge as usual and stopped at least 2-3 goals. :whew:

He is every bit as good as Frimpong, just a different type of midfielder.

i would agree Coquelin is better on the ball but Frimpong is more aggressive, arsenal supporter and other things such as his view on the Nasri move he will be more popular with the fans.

Where do you want me to start? Frimpong is better on the ball, more physical, more confident...

Coquelin has never done anything to impress me, we only looked better when he was on against Utd because when he went off we didn't have a proper DM on the pitch!

I'd honestly rather play djourou there than coquelin!

Coquelin is more experienced at a higher level, can play in multiple defensive positions, is a very good tackler and is more composed and calm on the ball, he can also pick a pass.

Frimpong is aggressive, powerful and is good at breaking up play but on the other hand shows his inexperience and is very rash when he doesn't need to be.

I personally thought Coquelin was stand out against Man Utd but he didn't get noticed because of the scoreline, when he went off our already crippled midfield simply gave up and gave Man Utd free reign to just attack a maligned defence.

Btw, i love Frimpong, i have already called him a mini Essien, but lets not beat around the bush. Although very talented, people mainly like him because A) He is a massive Gooner and B) Because he says all the things we want/like to hear on Twitter.

That is the reason why he is so popular, he showed even yesterday against minnows that he is still very inexperienced. Thats not a bad thing, but to say he is better than Coquelin is very premature, especially when Coquelin was one of the best players in France last season and he was very inexperienced himself.

Btw, i don't think either one is better than the other, i'm just glad they are both at the club.
