a good 10 drivers are on their phone on average.
There should be a setting on your phone to tell callers that you are driving. So it just takes an answer phone messege, or says you will call back when it is safe.
there is no way they could enforce the ban.
just vast majority of people who obey the law, just because they are good citizens will stop.

If people want to kill themselves by smoking then thats up to them so long as they are not near me! but it seems ridiculous to ban something like mobiles that can cause dangerous driving but not cigarettes which surely are just as dangerous as phones are whilst driving? Isnt it putting other road users at risk?
Couldnt see how it could be policed easily though!

It's not really that. People blow out the smoke in front of them with the window open, then the wind blows the smoke back into their eyes, they are blinded and next thing you know the car is triple somersaulting down the road It is dangerous stuff
