The long process at the start are the results of the jury vote, the quick one at the end is the public vote which just confirms how political it is.

Idk why we always get called out for the neighbour vote thing when, if you look at the statistics, Scandinavian countries do it way more. Also all the neighbour votes come exclusively from jury voting and i don't see the point of it. Eurovision should be 100% televoting, let the people decide what they like.
