As f***ked up as that sounds. They weren’t all scumbags or rednecks.

Just desperate and misguided maybe.

No excuse to be misguided.

Our country has a proud history of poor people being well informed and orgsnised. Unions, the Labour Party etc

If you're stupid and gullible that's nothing to do with being poor

Desperate, misguided (in their intentions) or lied to whatever you want to call it.

If you are poor and have no other options when voting for Brexit then someone telling you Brexit will make you poorer isn't going to make any difference.

Starting @ 7:10 mark. The guys quote sums it up unfortunately, "You can't have it any poorer."

Exactly. The poor people won the referendum for us because they'd had enough of all the scaremongering, all the telling them they would lose everything they didn't have, all the foreign travel they don't go on and most of all enough of the politicians and the metro liberal elites sneering at them so they took their chance to strike back and they struck back hard because the remoaners were so arrogant and conceited that they would win.

Plus of course the ladies know it's the only way they will get rid of that so called "tampon tax"

You can have it much poorer even in the first world, they just don't realise it

The economy goes to shit so there's less tax money to pay for benefits

Cheaper tampons! Can’t wait. We might have to start using them when the bog roll shortage kicks in.

Then why didn't Labour do that during their 13 years in power? All they did was open all the doors in 2004 that flooded the labour market which pushed down wages thus making the poor poorer.

This sort of continual denial of the problem and disparagement of anyone who mentions it is what made UKIP thrive and caused the referendum in the first place.

You can’t keep dismissing it. It was and still is a big issue.

Anyway, how about we break up the b*tching with a bit of amusement or more other people b*tching.

Bercow is getting right into it with the Conservatives now, seems like war is declared.

Watch Andrea Leadsoms response to the beginning bit.

Can't get my head around this thread - are poor people to blame now? - was it the Tories or Labour? - was it a protest vote or democracy in action? - and what the feck does UFGN stand for - he's not Labour, he hates Tories, rich people are all c****, poor people are all redneck c****, if you voted leave your a c***, if you don't agree with him saying all these people are c**** .... the you're also a c*** ...

Is that about right?

I'm not surprised you don't understand. You do find understanding rather troublesome.

The concept that a poor person can be held to account and criticised for their political decisions despite the situation they live in not necessarily being their fault..... Its not controversial. Its not difficult to grasp. Just because you're poor it's not an excuse to be a redneck.

The rest of your post.... Sigh

To somehow assume being poor makes you incapable of political thought ... Ghandi, Ursula Burns, Narendra Modi, Marina Silva, Benjamin Franklin, or how about Jay-Z all from abject poverty all massive influencers.

Your whole premise that poverty somehow equates to stupidity is arrogant elitist crap .... a person with lesser means is just as responsible for their actions as a anyone else ... can't believe you would imply anything different.

Well I'm pleased to see we agree on something because that's exactly the point I'm making

But it works both ways. Just as poverty is not a reason to deny someone a political voice it is also not a reason to excuse them from criticism for stupid political decisions

BTW my poverty credentials are A++

Not necessarily poor people from what I can gather. It seems to be anyone at all who didn't consider the economic implications of a leave vote.

I suppose that includes anyone who is unable to do so.

It seems to be neither a Liberal nor a Democratic point of view. Mr Cable would be disappointed.
