Bloke I was just speaking to at work made a very interesting point. Tories currently have twenty MPs being investigated by the police for alleged election expenses irregularities in the 2015 election

If they're found guilty their seats will be up for re-election with the tory party in disarray

Twenty MPs...... Her majority is 17

No wonder she called the election early

Yes, South Thanet being one of them. Nigel Farage made that point too. Though several other elements including wanting to legitimise her position (unlike gordon brown), strengthen her negotiating position (think of it as that 2nd EU referendum that you remainers wanted!), free herself from the shackles of Cameron's manifesto, take advantage of a weak Labour party and boost her number of MPs.

If that is the case then can you blame her? you may not like it but you can't accuse her of not doing the smart thing.

If Labour or the Dems were that focused on gaining / keeping power maybe they wouldn't be in such a mess.

Lib Dems should just fold. An entire generation will never forgive them for going back on their written pledge. Their current leader is about as inspiring as Corbyn.

Labour should have split and merged with Lib Dems. Both parties are in need of an epic makeover. If it was a company, they'd both have rebranded by now.

Yet the same generation forgive the Tories for their many lies and betrayals, including the lie about this very election not happening, and the fact that it's the Tories who forced through the rise in tuition fees

That's cause the Tories got Murdoch's media empire on their side at the moment. The Sun has called EVERY election and referendum since 1975.

The problem isn't actually the Sun

Its people who buy their shit and shit like it because they're either too thick or too lazy to have their own opinion

Probably isn't just the Sun. The problem is you have the vast majority of daily newspapers saying the same thing (with the exception of the Mirror and the Guardian). It's hard for Britain's Chelsea and Millwall fans to see through that.

Don't even start, the Guardian goes into an out pouring about Brexit on a daily basis trying to socially engineer Britain against it with BS articles on a daily basis, also the BBC has gone wayward as well.

Yes pro-Brexit has its mouth pieces as well i.e the Express and Mail so what are you referring too exactly?

Your entirely fictitious slant on the media is what I'm referring "too"

There are only a small number of left wing publications in a right-wing dominated press, yet you scream like a hyena about the Guardian (circulation about 75 a day) and the BBC, who's detractors are all up Rupert Murdoch's arse

You behave like the poor old Tories and poor old Brexit are up against a biased media with a secret agenda, when in fact the exact opposite is true

UFGN if you can't see straight through you own BS I suggest you give it a rest, I don't mind debate but don't let your agendas cloud factual argument.
as I said ............. BOTH sides have their mouth pieces, you make out like there's one for the left and 20 for the right, stfu with that BS.
America as well is very heavily left with their media outlets hence why Trump is taking a daily ear bashing.

the below looks pretty even to me.

Mirror - Centre Left (Labour)
The Guardian - Centre Left (Labour, some Lib Dem)
The Independent - Centre Left (Labour and Lib Dem)
The Observer - Centre Left (Labour and Lib Dem)
The Morning Star - Left (Socialist parties, some Labour)
BBC - mainly Left leaning

The Telegraph - Centre Right (Conservative)
Express - Right (Conservative, UKIP)
Mail - Right (Conservative, UKIP)
Express - Right (Conservative, UKIP)
Sun - Right (Conservative)
Star - Right (Conservative and far right parties)
News of The World - Right (Conservative)

At least I show it for what it is rather than your point scoring BS.

It's you who's full of BS and thats why I'm calling you out on it

Which you've just proven yourself by supporting your argument with a scraped-together list, featuring

The Guardian (which nobody buys)
The Morning Star (What? Lol, why don't you throw in the Socialist Worker if you're desperate)
The Independent (Which doesn't exist anymore except for a token website .... Awkward)

And leaving out

Er, The Times

....While (snore) whinging about the BBC

This lie that the press and media in general somehow favour the left has been allowed to perpetuate because right-wingers live in their own echo chambers, watch BBC news and can't understand why everyone isn't wanking over Theresa May

In truth the right DOMINATE the media and won't be happy until there is no voice of descent left, however small.
