Why is it taking that long?

Was there cheating in the counts?

Longest election I've ever seen, ridiculous, it got boring after day 3.

It's when he finishes his hibernation.

I can't keep up with your broken electorial system.

Just because Trump has fked off to play golf I don't understand why there would be a hold up on Bidens inauguration, unless Trumps ballot count accusation has merit.

If Biden has won, he's won, if that was in England the sitting Pime Minister could of fked off to Calcutta and it would make no difference, the guy with the highest votes would be honoured in.

............ but you do things better in Murica obviously.

Federal elections are held the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November, so anywhere from November 2-8. This is a product from a bygone era before the automobile. Though it's tradition, the date can easily be changed.

Presidential inauguration is January 20 per the 20th Amendment.

So it really begs the question ........... why have the election almost 3 months before you can even swear in a President?

Those Electoral College voters need time to saddle up their horses and get to the capital! That's how it was back at the time of the Constitution being drafted and the fact its not been updated, it is still assumed to be true!

The US Constitution is much like the EU, it wasn't updated in stages as it got bigger as it should have. Now it's rendered the whole thing completely unwieldy and almost impossible to change now.

It actually was updated in the "Lame Duck" amendment of 1933 (as you say the 20th amendment) it was March 4th before that ... needs updating again.

The problem with a written constitution is it's inflexibility and openness to interpretation "well regulated militia" means what in 2020? The UK's constitution is based on precedent through acts of parliament, court rulings, and convention ... this allows it to be constantly updated without having to create written amendments every time .... certainly way more flexible in the fast moving modern age, but equally far harder to reference.

Yet they never sorted out the ratification system. Fine when it was just 13 members but when it expanded to 50, at some point before that they should have changed the procedure because nowadays it just makes it nearly impossible to affect meaningful change.

Starmer caves in and reinstates anti semite Corbyn.

The radical left are still running the Party. They've stuck him up as the moderate they hope will get them into power. But it's obvious now that he'll dance to their tune or he'll be out on his ear.

Vote Keir Starmer, get Len McCluskey.

I dont know how you can have the front to spout this crap when Vote Tory get the Bullingdon Club is literally true.

And dont kid yourself. You have more in common with Mcluskey's unions than the Bullingdon boys. How many millions do you have in the bank? None you say? Well fancy that. Bullingdon Boris wouldnt piss on you if you were on fire. However a few quid a week in membership fees and the unions would fight for your rights at work and uphold conditions and safety standards

Yet you vote to burn and not be pissed on so you you can kid yourself that youve made it.

I've done very well under Tory governments thanks very much.

Much better than I'd do under that lot of communists. All they want to do is take as much of your money as they can get away with.

No, no. Give me a good Conservative government every time.

I'll see what he has to say come nearer the election.

I want to see how Boris handles the rest of this pandemic and importantly considering it looks like vaccines on the horizon, how he handles our exit from the EU.

I don't even mind if he does a Norway or Canada style deal, quid pro quo kind of thing, whatever is best for the nation ............ but if he sells us down the river.

However its reported that Boris is the toughest negotiator in the Con party among his cabinet so I doubt that will happen.

Next election will be an interesting one, Starmer is at least electable if Labour get their act together, so Boris better get some results.

So ..............

The deadline for a deal with the EU is January 1st 2021??

Good luck lol.

No Deal is a massive possibility now, especially with demands like this.

"Mr Barnier sparked disdain from ministers in London after proposing that the EU should grant British access to just 15 percent to 18 percent of the fish in UK waters."

Yeah right, tell them to fk off or we'll get the Royal Navy out, honestly, this is why we're leaving these fkin Europeans have no respect for us whatsoever.

This is their problem, they can't get it through their thick heads that we are indeed "leaving" we're not an EU satellite state, we will be independent.

This is the sort of arrogance that has effected our nations historically, especially France.

I actually think we could agree with Germany, they are much more like us in fairness and practicality but its the French where we always just receive insults and demeaning transgression.
