Nobody is saying that ISIL aren't a massive problem that need to be dealt with, they're saying that bombing Syria isn't the best way to defeat them. Opposing airstrikes isn't the same as saying we should do nothing.
Spot on. I've seen so many comments in papers and online saying if you oppose airstrikes you support Syria and don't care about the victims in France!
Its the same media "name & shame" pressure they applied to people after 9/11 when people were like "hold on a minute, why did building 3 collapse when it wasn't even hit and is nowhere near the two towers??" US media turns round is like OMG you're terrorist sympathisers!! its just a way to shut you up, its an old tactic to stop people who actually want to ask sensible questions from doing so.
Also addressing Callums point, exactly, this bombing campaign is the tactical equivalent of lobbing bricks at a dart board when what your aiming for is a Bullseye.
