Well, that's an extremely judgemental approach. Discriminating, in fact. I'm sure it's not linked to a certain ancient anthology with more than its fair share of anachronistic hogwash.

What in the world does that second line mean? :D

Will never get married. Useless thing from the medieval time.

lol @ spending 10-15k on getting traveling the world when you can get married from that money, or much cheaper.

Not really important superficial event.

I know people that haven't got married and been together for years and people that get married and split up after a year.

Also people have a big event for the wedding but just have a quite anniversary dinner for their 10th anniversary or a quite weekend away. If anything the anniversary should be the big event as it shows the marriage was a success.

Attention isn't really my thing so I am not a fan of weddings.

If people want to get married, go for it. If they don't then so be it.

There's no wrong answer here. It's their choice. Much like being gay.

You can do both successfully without getting married...

Depends on your culture and circumstances really.

Marriage is a personal choice, if you don't see the point of it, don't do it.

Precisely what the thread is for. What's YOUR take on marriages?

It's not about generalization. Different people, different choices - and the thread is about individual options on marriages.

Lol smoothly done Cripps.

Anyway, I don't think anyone should be forced into it but some of the comments inthis thread about it making things harder and relationships fail is bull. If it's so insignificant then why would it have any bearing on the relationship? If getting married to someone rather than just living with them on a permanent basis changes you, then it's the person and the relationship that is the problem not the process.

Marriage is a traditional thing, personally believe in it's value and commitment but sadly a lot of traditions are falling by the wayside in the modern world and I guess marriage will eventually head down the same road.

Seems more like the children on here who don't see the whole marriage thing. I suppose I was the same back then.
