Voting in another party's election? Ethical?

Postby GoonerAlexandre » Wed Jul 15, 2015 10:39 pm

http://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/j ... emy-corbyn

The Telegraph have asked people to sign up to vote Corbyn. I find it distasteful to think that people are doing this. Whatever you think of Labour, it's still the 2nd biggest party in the UK at the moment, and to try to influence its elections in this way is disgusting.

Labour did a great step of letting the masses be able to vote for their next leader. And now some are trying to ruin it. It's pathetic, because if, say Corbyn does win, Tories will always claim they made him win. It's a disgusting smear tactic and undermining the selection process.

Is it ethical? I'd say no, what about you guys?

So labour let the unions choose the leader in 2010 and look what happened. Now they just let anybody vote, have they actually considered that people might actually try to sabotage the vote by choosing some crackpot? Burnham was the best of the worst in my view but I will enjoy watching them continue their downward turn if they vote in the lefty Corbyn (the only person further left is Dennis the Dinosaur!)

There will be more Labour members. It's not that bad an idea, tbh, there is no way a majority can be hijacked

The candidates are all crap though
