True, and I guess it's a good thing that our banking sector isn't one of the most important services our economy has to offer or anything.

Oh be quiet, "So it begins" like its some sort of dooms day.

"HSBC has already said that post-Brexit it would keep its global headquarters in London and its UK headquarters in Birmingham."

Keep it up.

Tbf things are going brilliantly, according to you lot I should of lost my house by now, fuel should of quadrupled and groceries hit a 30% increase, but none of this has happened.

If that's the worst of it all in all I think we'll survive.

This.

HSBC can give up all their customers to other banks for all we care and grow their business sectors / jobs.

These menial threats are not going to work, its happening deal with it.

Those job losses are happening as well. And there will be more. Highly paid jobs which generate large amounts of income tax and NI

Keep that head in the sand

Don't try to think, you'll hurt yourself

Bill passed.

That is it, despite the kick offs, the court law suits etc and even the court hearings still to come, Article 50 will be triggered.

Nice try by some seedy un-democratic Europhiles likely backed by Millions of pounds worth from Eurocrats but no, the British majority has overcome and I have to give thanks to Theresa May, a one time Remainer I thought she may bottle out of it but in the past month she's gone for it just as strong as Farage ever could, in fact Farage said he could of wrote her Euro exit speech it was that close to the mark.

Tbh I'm just glad the Left socialists are getting a lesson in democracy, no matter which way you vote the last year has shown democracy isn't dead after all, it is still worth voting.

Our democracy is a multilayered entity which includes the courts and parliament. The rule of Law, English law, has prevailed, parliament has been consulted and now the correct process has taken place.

We don't do things in a rash and amateurish way in this country, there are checks and balances which must be gone through, even in the face of all the teeth gnashing and rabid vitriol the right wing press could muster.

I heard a Conservative MP say something very interesting.

All this furor from Remainers about "Parliamentary sovereignty", the same people who were willing to sideline British Courts to EU courts, the same people who cared so little for Parliamentary sovereignty that they are willing to let un-elected EU bureaucrats have final say on British law and global and domestic decisions.

........... and now they scream sovereignty?

The truth is they care nothing for it, all they want is a tool to disrupt the will of the majority, its undemocratic and they are literally making themselves the enemy of the people.

Thankfully an alarmed establishment has recognised what's at risk, thankfully despite their positions on Brexit in Parliament and the House of Lords for once they can see their jobs are on the line and will act accordingly, they are our public servants, not our overlords.

For whatever we vote for in the future, whichever the outcome, 2016 /2017 are the years "real democracy" came back to Britain.

To quote several members of the Conservatives "A decision against Brexit would pit the will of the people against Parliament causing a constitutional crisis".

As Jack Nicolson said in The Departed "Know who you fkin work for".

Hopefully they'll take a lot of the staff with them and free up some housing.

Lets see how the spoiled banker brats like it in potato land.

In all seriousness though the Gov have and are making a complete and utter mess of this.

Honestly I think we're better off with a soft Brexit i.e a Norway / Switzerland type deal, that way we get a good chunk of regulation and laws back and "choose" to play ball to keep Euro trading membership.

Its not maybe what some wanted but this clowns are gonna fk things up by the time they're through if they try for a clean break.

At least if we get to that half way stage we can look at preparing for a full divorce after ........ tbf who are we kidding, no one (in power) wants this bar David Davis and some Cons, how can we ever get a good deal when no one at the table wants it to happen?

Even May was a Remainer ........... Democracy has shown its true colours for the circus it really is and has always been, a puppet show to make people believe they have a choice leaving those in power to just get on with it.

Now those in power still get on with it but just have a better PR team to settle the rabble.

In all seriousness, was that the most empty speech you've ever heard? The only thing she confirmed was a transitional period of two years..... something you knew would happen anyway
