Harris is mixed.
But, explain Herman Cain. Or Ben Carson. Or Kanye. Why did their campaigns go nowhere if America loves tokenism? Couldn't possibly be because those three are jokes and Harris is actually a pretty good candidate

The right side of politics is less concerned with tokenism than the left side of politics, imo.
Virtue signalling seems to be quite correlated with left-wing ideology.
I think that would explain Cain and Carson - they just were not the best candidates, therefore they didn't make it.
Kanye is not liked by the left, because he doesn't froth at the mouth with hatred when Trump's name is mentioned. So that explains that.

Because all those white men who became VP totally did so on merit. As if Pence wasn't picked specifically to pander to evangelicals. Harris is an incredibly smart and educated woman with plenty of experience. To imply that she somehow took the place of some poor undervalued white man just based on her sex and ethnicity is ridiculous and disgusting.
Certainly wasn't on grounds to shamelessly pander to women and ethnic minorities as Biden seems to have done. I'm not saying she's taken a place, I'm just saying it was pretty clear Biden wanted a woman as he said so earlier, which makes it clear he was going to make the decision based not on merit but on chromosomes (and if they happen to have the right skin pigmentation, that's a bonus for ol' Joe because he can play on the Obama card a little more!)

The right wing is just too racist to ever nominate a black candidate/vp. Imagine trying to praise the gop for having no diversity in their party. Like praising the Nazis for not having a token j*w (why is this word censored?) in their administration. f***ing bellend.

There's hundreds of years of history of picking men based on their chromosomes.

Who's to say Harris isn't the best candidate for VP?

We'll never know because racial and gender profiling was used upfront to select the shortlist. i.e. discrimination.

My point there is no "best candidate" because it's all subjective and down to the Presidential nominee and their team's discretion.
