Between that and Tom Cotton referring to slavery as a "necessary evil," the GOP has been showing its true colors by saying the quiet parts out loud.

Party of Lincoln my ass.

And a decent amount of Republicans have the audacity to wonder why black people and Jewish people overwhelmingly vote Democrat.

AOC has her seat for as long as she wants it. The only way she loses her seat is if her district gets erased during redistricting next year since NY is supposed to lose an electoral vote iirc or if she stupidly tries to primary Gillibrand or Schumer.

Not my question. She holds the same views as the other "squad members" , a Bernie Bro so why are her views any different to you than Omar?

AOC got elected because Dem turnout was pitiful. Now that her radical (Dem) Socialist nonsense is actually being adopted by Biden we shall see.

My point is that it's not worth investing my time or energy into AOC's seat because it's not vulnerable like Omar's or Tlaib's. Sure, if someone like a Yang or a Warren popped up as her main primary challenger, then I'd be all for them ousting her, but if her main opponent is someone like Caruso-Cabrera this year, then I'd hope AOC wins.

The difference between AOC and Omar is AOC has actually shown she can put her ego aside for a second to be pragmatic by formally endorsing Biden and to compromise by not going after Biden for not adopting her Green New Deal in full.

Also, what socialist—public or collective ownership of the means of production—policies has Biden adopted from AOC? Socialism has become an epithet, a buzzword, on the right to mean "anything we don't like". Good luck convincing people Joe Biden is a Trojan horse for the socialist movement when the far-left by and large can't stand him.

Biden will be announcing his VP pick next week. Rumors that his shortlist is Harris (Senator, California), Duckworth (Senator, Illinois), Warren (Senator, Massachusetts), Bass (Representative, California), Demings (Representative, Florida), Lujan Grisham (Governor, New Mexico), and Rice (former US ambassador to the UN).

Back to "sanity" after LMAO claimed that AOC is "pragmatic" ...a Dem Activist was arrested for arson when he burned down the AZ Dem Party HQ a week back. Of course the right was blamed at the time. The party of nutters strikes again.

In case you missed it Politico published a story yesterday date line 4 Aug 2020 announcing that Harris is the VP candidate...then deleted it. It included all sorts of Biden campaign praise about her! LOL, I guess we know who it is going to be.

More nonsensical ID politics from the left, has to be a black woman because it has to be a black woman. So given Harris claimed to have voted for Booker in the CA primary, is she really black? Hmmmmm. If asked I doubt Biden will recall that comment to What's his face the God?

I also if wonder if Biden checked to see if she indeed is one of the first a clean and articulate black woman as he did Obama? That was quite the revelation for Biden, he seemed shocked and pleased that Obama was clean and articulate. Funny thing is that Harry Reid had said the SAME thing a month before and Biden plagerized him! Harry Reid in same company as Neil Kinnock...

"AOC has actually shown she can put her ego aside for a second to be pragmatic by formally endorsing Biden." But what is context in 2020, eh?

Also, you didn't answer this: What socialist—public or collective ownership of the means of production—policies has Biden adopted from AOC?

Biologically maybe not, but in America a mixed person will be viewed as black by and large.

Dat one drop rule.

If you could poll the entire world 95% of the population would probably classify Bob Marley as black.

True. I'm one of the outliers since I'm ethnically ambiguous unlike someone like Obama, J. Cole, or Kaepernick who people would immediately jump to assuming black.

When I was in elementary in the early-mid 2000s, I remember having to either fill in "black/African-American" or "white" on standardized tests. Now there's an "other" or "two or more races" option on forms. I think things are starting to change, albeit slowly.
