Exactly.

The Republicans also tried it with Trump first time round until they gave up then just rode the wave to get a win.

I honestly don't see what Jedi finds so hard to believe, as he said, its politics after all, these progressive candidates want to make whole sale changes to the Dems and things like Healthcare for all etc, I'm at a loss to see why he thinks the Dem heirachy wouldn't give resources, help and assistance to their guys that will tow the line.

It only makes sense.

Also for the 3rd time now ............. I never said Bernie only lost because of Dem attacks, the voters had their say but that doesn't mean the Dems didn't go for him as well, they did, it was widely spoken about and reported.

He got appropriate time on the mic during the debates so that wasn't a problem. I would say he also got more than enough media coverage and it was positive media coverage about how he had all the momentum especially when it looked like he was the frontrunner. For example this was CNN 4 days before Biden completely crushed and wiped the floor with Bernie in a complete landslide victory in Super Tuesday.

Doesn't sound to me like the political machine was working against Bernie.

It's true there were attacks on Bernie being too radical and others questioning his electability in the general election but then again Biden was constantly attacked for being old and senile and i remember many commentators calling him old fashioned and outdated and saying the party was heading in a more progressive direction. There was even a New York Times article calling him a closeted Republican.

I don't know if his supporters were marginalized but i don't think something like that had any effect on voting.

You said the election was a sham and that the DNC is a joke. That's a very extreme statement and I think it's safe to infer from from it that you believe the election was rigged against Bernie.

Both primaries, 2015/16 and 2019/20were rigged against Bernie. Hillary took control of the DNC finances in June of 2015, she had her surrogates installed and the media started to slam Bernie based on DNC talking points. You can figure out what the talking point of the day is because every Dem pundit on every channel uses the same line right down to the verbiage. In 2019 same thing happened when the Clinton wing of the party decided that Biden was the only person capable of beating Trump. The difference this time is that the DNC is giving superficial attention, pandering to the the real far left, Social Democrats and socialists to keep them in line. It is why no Dem including Biden will not condemn the riots and violence nor face up to what BLM really is about. Biden is supposedly running as a moderate yet he also claims he would be the most “progressive “ president ever. The Dem party is a sad joke now. They unleashed the genie, they cant get it back in the bottle and the far left will eat them alive. The working union vote (not the leadership) other than the SCIU government employees see all this. They have lost traditional support of cops, manufacturing and even most teachers in key states.

Can anyone articulate what they even stand for now? TDS, pretty much is what it boils down to.

And Harris is barely black, she identifies as Indian American, and is someone who sends people to prison for marijuana offenses. If the black community did their homework they would realize she isn't that great of an option, but she has a percentage of African in her, so I guess that matters for some reason. IDK!!

Also, her dad claims to be a direct descendant of an Irish slave owner, so I'm not sure how the cancel culture kids are going to work that one out. Good luck!

Kamala identifies as a Black Christian. For what's it worth, she sympathizes with Islamic insurgents on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus. Considering there was money poured in by the CIA at the time, it doesn't surprise me one bit as she's pro-establishment.

While, I do get your point. My pure observation is that no matter how much Americans claim to be on the left, they usually always pivot back to the center when it matters. It's like an old habit. The balance always tips to center at the end.

And why do they want to defund the police anyway? So they can go out and commit more crime?

While defunding the police is clearly spasticated, it seems to me that a major change in training, culture and laws regarding accountability is called for.

Also demilitarise them. Why do some urban police forces in the States own feckin armoured personnel carriers and light tanks?

Because it's legal for anyone to have those things.

If they didn't have them they'd be at a disadvantage.

Don't doubt for a second the exact same thing would happen over here. It's not just American kids who are stupid.

Anyway nice to see someone calling out their BS, Michael Knowles is my new favourite chap. Sorry Hodgetwins, second place for you.

What is going on with the youth in America? I wouldn't know but i doubt this video with a sample size of 4-6 kids is going to give me an accurate representation. However, it is perfect for political hacks like Michael Knowles to use to push propaganda.

Glad you're finally revealing where you're getting your shitty politics takes from.

I've never seen that guy before, I don't know who Michael Knowles is, this video came up on Youtubes Home page, I didn't search for it.

........... and if this isn't a reflection of America's youth then who is it attending these riots and protests in every City / Town across America? who are these people making headline news for the last 2 months? who are these people that took a 6 City block in Seattle as hostage? who are these people in Portland?

Ahhh but that's right its just a sample size of 4-6 kids.

Sarcastic post with a sh*tty assumption and an inaccurate and irrelevant point to boot, congrats Jedi, that's a lot to cram into a post that size, you've outdone yourself.

That's what I've been saying for months.

American police unlike UK police have been trained since inception to deal with an armed populace, even in cities where firearms are not allowed to be carried, because of the availability of guns to be bought in the US means guns are everywhere.

Unfortunately that has led to an aggressive police force, in the UK the cops that have guns are highly trained to nigh military standards in fact the UK Police Armed response unit are trained to higher levels than normal Army Infantry imo.

That's not the case in America unless its S.W.A.T etc, a beat cop is no different to a UK beat cop, difference is they have a gun.

The aggression of some of the US cops I've seen is definitely infringing on civil rights, but they allow it because the excuse has always been "Well we're dealing with people who could potentially open fire on us" hence why we see a traffic stop turn into a cop shooting an unarmed driver.
