It's one of those silly fake oppositions - would you rather be deaf or blind etc etc. Well neither actually.

Five years of his life gone that he'll never get back due to a ridiculous judicial system & a mixed up young girl.

Presumably all the papers who called him allsorts and claimed he was "shameless" or whatever for trying to clear his name will be queuing up to apologise now?

im mostly hearing he's still guilty and this retrial was a disgrace, with former boyfriends of the accuser coming in to testify about her sexual behavior or something (and being payed for it)?

I guess I'll have to read up on it to form my own opinion.

Huge blow to women's safety today, many will now correctly fear reporting rape

Or maybe it sends a message to the gold diggers out there that truth and justice will win out and they will not get the big payday from the big football star that they want but don't deserve.

FACT - she never reported a rape ....

FACT - the CPS alone brought this failed case so they are wholly responsible for the outcome ...

FACT - under UK law you are 'innocent until proven guilty' unless of course you're a high profile celebrity ...

FACT - alleged Rape victims get anonymity, alleged rape perpetrators don't ...

FACT - The women concerned never accused anyone of rape, she always maintained that she had no recollection of events at the hotel ...

Why would any women 'correctly' fear reporting rape just because of a misguided case where no women ever made a rape accusation? ask the CPS about that, even the police said that from the outset this would be an impossible case to prove ... no wonder Evans is suing his first team of lawyers, a first year law student could have defended this one ... no evidence, no witnesses, and no accusation from the alleged victim ... the first verdict just beggars belief ...

That said Evans is still an utter scum-bag piece of trash ... but sadly that's not yet a crime ...
