u could shoot and kill someone outside, then drag them into your house and say they were intruding!!

70 pints of blood on the driveway might give them a lead though

Exactly, it would be hard to cover up this day and age.

I'd never be able to shoot another person anyways, so no.

i don't think they should be made legal or if they are you should have all the certificates etc (which i think is the case anyway) and go through proper training with guns.

As for the law if someone come in your house can you shoot them? No is the obvious answer but tbh if i had a family and thought that they was in trouble i wouldn't think twice about shooting the barstards who comes into my house

Didn't a bloke get life not so long ago for shooting a bloke who broke into his house?

Are you talking about the farmer All_Arsenal_1886 ?

He went down because he shot a bloke for breaking into his house. If i remember right it was because he shot him in the back which the courts decided it must have meant he was running away..

Sounds about right.

Pretty sure he did it with his licensed shotgun - which, coincidentally are quite easy to get, I know an 18 year old with a legal one. It doesn't matter if guns are legal, people are always going to get shot.

I have a realistic looking toy gun with me. Nonviolent, yet effective.

That's why it's 'realistic looking'. Scare the dog away before he realises it's got nothing more than a plastic bullet in it.
