Ketchup and Egg Mayonnaise on a fry up is the only acceptable sauce combo.

On chips, my favourite is patat Oorlog (sorry for my dodgey spelling all Dutch people!).

Dejan will know.....

If all you fools made your food the correct way with proper flavor from seasonings, you wouldn't need sauce. I always cringe when I go to a good steak place and some idiot request sauce for his steak. Why not just eat the sauce then, cause thats the only flavor your getting.

I was born in Nederland, most of my family on my dads side lives over there! I love frite sauce (we dont get it over here) and frikandels with onions!

And patat Oorlog is the greatest. Satay sauce and proper Dutch mayonnaise is the shiznit. When you do come over here, please dont try the mayo, it just aint the same....

Same here! I hate it when people order sauce with the steak...it kills the whole experience of eating the steak then.

The greatest steak i ever had was from Angus Steak House (old school steak chain over here in the UK). It was a New Yorker which basically consisted of a 20 oz steak with two eggs sunny side up and rashers of bacon on top of it.

A bit of Diane sauce on it (in moderation!) made that steak what it is.

Putting bacon on something instantaneously makes it better. It works on sooo many levels...

Ashamed bumpage, but trying to catch up....

There is absolutely NOTHING on this planet that matches Dutch frite sauce, or their mayonnaise - Frite met mayonnaise dank u wel (Or how ever it's correctly spelt) The Germans come close, but it all honesty, you simply can't beat Dutch food.

By the way, I was "made" in Holland, my parents were stationed over there on RAF duty at some point in 1967...
