HP Sauce: old or new?

Postby gzagee » Mon Sep 12, 2011 7:02 pm

Serious bloody subject matter here, guys.

Those interfering Yanks at Heinz have decided to alter the salt content in HP sauce, rendering the new version less sweet and more vinegary, and now it seems the British public are 'up in arms'. Protestors have bombarded HP's facebook page saying "bring back the salt": http://www.facebook.com/HPSauceUK

So.... has anyone tasted the new healthier version? If so, what say you? Do you like the new taste or should they revert to the old classic?

Serious stuff guys. The future of my greasy fry-up may depend upon it!!!

Leave HP sauce alone!!!!!!!!!! It's just perfect the way it is. If they screw over HP then you can always go for YR. There is no discernible difference imo.

Mustard is savage, real mustard not that yellow shite, but If you are making a bacon, sausage and egg sambo then brown sauce is the ONLY condiment of choice though

True but for a fry up, as gza was referring to, then it has to be brown sauce.

They dont even use it over here. I have to go to the world market to get brown sauce, and it's usually pretty expensive.

Haven't had brown sauce for a while. I find it's already very vinegary, making it more so is not good!
