These countries have more extreme muslims than probably any country in the middle east.

Any way you want to paint it, Indonisia and other countries in Asia are going to have social structures that are much much closer to Islamic States than England and Western Europe because of the large Muslim population.

They may not fit the textbook definition of a Sharia Muslim state like the Middle Eastern examples. But they are very similar and miles closer than liberal England.

I will add though, if they seem to hate the west so much then why live there? I've never understood that... and probably never will.

That is like saying India is an extremist state or closer to one because they have a large muslim population, or Nigeria is an Islamic state because they have a mainly Muslim population.

All I was saying is they are closer, not that they are the identical... on the timeline of religions and social structure Indonesia is closer to the middle east than England.

Just like England is closer to Italy or Spain in values and religion than they are to say Iran...

Why are you picking everything apart mate? Clearly you can see what I'm saying and it is 100% true. They're not the same, but Iran and Indonesia have more similarities than Iran and England for example. That's all I was saying...

And you're still arguing semantics. I never said they were an Islamic State because they're not. But they do have a Muslim culture. They have laws that are based on, but not directly written from Muslim religious beliefs. Whereas England and the west isn't anywhere remotely close.
