I've mentioned this a few time before, but I think it's time to debate this.
Firstly, we are required to pay an extra £142 every year just for the right to have a television, it's the law.
Next we are required to pay upwards of £1,000 for the right to live in a house through council tax.
Then we have to pay anything from £125 per year for the right to own a car.
Water rates added to the list otherwise you have a reduced pressure rate.
We have 10% of our wages taken away for NI, and pushing 22% of our earnings taken away for income tax.
We then pay 11% VAT on most items we buy.
Surely we can't be more ripped off than anyone else.
I'm more annoyed about it all because for the first time in my life I'm unemployed, and after 26 years on contributing to the system, I'm rewarded with £63 a week which doesn't even cover the rent. And I still have to cover the above.
Britain is a complete rip off, and I feel it's time we spoke up, anyone else agree?
