And I thought I screwed myself up with alcohol...... Many was the time I got into London at 10-ish pissed up from a bottle of vodka on the way down, went into the pub drunk for England, a few more in the ground, then drunk all the way home.

I even used to inject alcohol be it Bacardi/Vodka/whatever I could lay my hands on into apples and oranges to smuggle into the ground.......

I used to do alot in the early 2000's on a weekly basis. But after taking one of those evil pills going around (if people remember) which were half acid and half ketamine (with a bit of who knows what) by accident (although I should have known by price and looks it wasn't ecstasy but I was too mashed) I went into a coma and nearly died.

We got the bus from Charing cross at about 5am and the bus driver found me upstairs in the garage at 10:00am, apparently I was very lucky. I woke up halfway through my coma and had a drug induced psychotic episode (scariest time of my life), attacked my own mother, had to be restrained by security and have a specialist called down from London to help the doctors. They had to clear an entire the ward for me.

I had some very scary hallucinations and misinterpretations of reality and I remember wetting myself a few times in terror. Apparently then I went back into my coma and woke up a couple of days later. When I woke up 3 friends came to visit me and when I looked at them it looked to me like the skin on their faces was peeling off like a grater was doing it. They left pretty quickly as they were too unnerved by me.

I had never been so ashamed my whole life when a whole team of professionals came to evaluate me the next day to see that I was ok. I was ashamed for my mum to finally find out about my drug habits and ashamed when I later found out about the ordeal I put the hospital staff and patients through. Apparently some nurses had to go home in tears.

For about 3 weeks after I though I had brain damage as my head was fuzzy and the focus point of my eyes was off centre but it went back to normal. For a year or 2 I would sometimes get a buzzing sensation at night like an aftershock but that went to.


That was a long time ago though (2001 or 2002) I quit all drugs except for marijuana after that and never once went back to them. I quit marijuana too in 2005 after I realised how badly it was affecting my cognitive function and I wasn't enjoying it any more.


This may be alot of info but I thought I would put it out there to say to our younger members........ "seriously, if you have any doubts, don't do drugs", you never think that one dodgy pill they always talk about could be you but it was me and I only had myself to blame.

I am so glad you came through it Rev and although I didn't know you before, you do seem to be a stronger person now.

There are especially now a lot of drugs that are mixed with things they shouldn't be......

All I can say to the younger ones is, if you don't want to, don't. Some people actually respect you for standing up and saying no too. Obviously you don't have to stand and shout Noooooooo I ain't doing drugs! Just say you ain't interested in it or you don't want any.

There are the good and bad sides to drugs, as with anything, but the bad outways the good.

Rev mate sounds like a bloody awful ordeal man things were good for a while but people are greedy nowdays and things are a mess. Ket is a silly thing man but its found as a cutting agen so much now that it beggars belief! I aint even that old but times have changed since i was "on it" and you have to be careful man!

You can get it for 20 now....not great stuff and not a gram either. 30 quid average I'd say, but you have to trust who you get it from. Too much crap getting put into it.

I've seen so many people on Ket and they just end up screwed and needing something else to bring them around. Also, a lot of people having ket thinking or being told its coke.....now that must be head blagging!

'Legal high' clubbing drugs banned in UK

A ban on several drugs known as "legal highs" has come into force.

The substances, including GBL and BZP, become Class C drugs, with a possible two-year jail sentence for possession.

Ministers moved to classify them after a recommendation from the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs and fears they are a threat to user health.

GBL was linked to the death of medical student Hester Stewart, 21, in Brighton last April. Her mother, Maryon, campaigned nationally for the ban.

So-called legal highs are typically man-made chemical substances designed to act like banned drugs.

Scientists, officials and police officers have been concerned for several years that GBL, BZP and other so-called "legal highs" have been sold openly across Britain and on the internet, despite evidence that they can be harmful to health.

GBL, which metabolises in the body into the already banned drug GHB, will become a Class C drug carrying maximum jail terms of two years for possession and 14 years for supply.

Piperazines, of which BZP is the most popular, are also being made Class C drugs.

This group of drugs is popular on the club scene as an alternative to ecstasy and amphetamines.

Synthetic cannabis has also been banned and become a Class B drug. Possession of products such as "spice", a herbal mixture laced with psycho-active chemicals, now carries a maximum five-year jail term.

Fifteen anabolic steroids, associated with drug abuse in sport, have also been classified as Class C.
Police chiefs say their response will be proportionate and focused on dealers.

Home Secretary Alan Johnson said the government was committed to raising awareness of the dangers of psychoactive substances through its Frank campaign, but also wanted to send a clear message to those thinking of using the drugs.

"We are cracking down on so-called 'legal highs' which are an emerging threat, particularly to young people," said Mr Johnson.

"That is why we are making a range of these substances illegal from today with ground- breaking legislation which will also ban their related compounds."

Crack substitute

Scientists at the Forensic Science Service laboratories have recently discovered that drug dealers in London have been using one of the newly-banned drugs to manufacture fake "crack cocaine".

Dean Ames of the FSS said: "We occasionally see materials that appear to be crack cocaine, that end up being innocuous substances [such as] candlewax as crack cocaine.

"But, quite recently, we have seen a new form of drug that has been submitted to us that actually contains piperazines and would resemble a crack cocaine-type substance."

Piperazines were first developed as a worming agent and are also used in some manufacturing processes. The FSS says "legal highs" based on the chemical have become more prevalent than ecstasy.

Wednesday's ban is unlikely to be the last. The Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs will next year consider a new wave of so-called "legal highs", which are based on a group of chemicals known as cathinones.

However, the recent controversy over the sacking of the council's chairman, Professor David Nutt, and the subsequent resignation of council members in protest, could mean any final recommendations are delayed.

Don't mean to drag up an old thread. But your story is like mine Libs. I swear to god there is times I can still smell it, right out of the blue. Some of the lads I used to smoke with are now hardcore junkies living on the street (from what I have heard) or are in prison.
Heroin is a terrible, terrible drug. Though I thank my lucky stars I didn't grow up in America or I probably would have tried crack.

had the day off work and a few of us had a golf day. round of 18 (though we only lasted 14) a crate of beer, bottle of absinte, lines of charlie, some E's then back to a mates house to balance the uppers with a load of green, then off to the karaoke our mates cousin was singing at.

powder is stupidly expensive here though and the E scene has gone tits up but for the first time in over a year we had some decent ones! result!!!
