WaPo: Trump suggests ‘bad genes’ to blame for undocumented immigrants who commit murders
I purposefully picked this headline instead of the "Donald Trump says migrants have 'bad genes'" because I know it would upset people who defend him in this thread, but in all honesty, there's not much difference in what he's saying:
“You know, now, a murderer, I believe this, it’s in their genes,” Trump said. “And we got a lot of bad genes in our country right now. They had 425,000 people come into our country that shouldn’t be here, that are criminals.”
He's essentially lumping both together as he usually does and blurring the lines. Couple that with the "poisoning the poisoning the blood of our country" comment, and you're getting into some really nasty stuff here.
I'm not even gonna comment on what he meant to say and what he didn't mean to say—what he believes and what he doesn't believe.
I don't care. I don't want to hear a politician talking about "genes" of any people, ever. In any context. And especially not in an inflammatory speech about illegal immigration.
I hope nobody responds to this post with some explanation like, "But murderers do have genes that are associated with aggression." I don't want unwashed masses discussing GENES. It shouldn't even be in the Zeitgeist. It shouldn't be brought up.
And then he's gonna blame Kamala or Biden if someone shoots at him again, when he says shit like this all by himself.
