As a white guy who grew up in north London in the 80s and 90s I’m a bit sick of a small number of black people trying to tell me what and what isn’t racist because frankly, and I include you in this, the bar changes hight depending on if it’s convenient or not.

I had a black step dad, black people in my family, black and Asian friends my whole life. And I see it from the white perspective as well, with white people who are clearly racist thinking I’m a safe bet to vent their views with. You don’t tell me shit.

Black people™ are not a monolith and you are not their elected representative to speak for them, just like I don't speak for white people and what they believe in.

This is a pathetic exercise in identity politics that should be shamed. Nobody cares about your or Jayram's race, and you two trying to cram it into this discussion shows you're clowns.

Also, we don't determine whether something is racist by polling black people on whether they find it racist. There's plenty of racist black people. Just recently, Kanye West said slavery was a choice, denied the Holocaust and said he loves Hitler.

You can't tell a Black, Asian or Arab person what is racist to them, sorry UFGN but you can't, no more than I can tell you whats racist to you.

Oh stop with the foolishness Jedi.

Whenever there is an atrocity they will get someone from that affected community to speak up about it and how it affects that group of people. Its standard practice. So long as the person is not unhinged their response or view will accurately reflect the views of the majority

Then you pull in some foolishness attributed to Kanye West as if it backs up your post!! It does the opposite.

I know black people and the black people I know who are plenty in number are not going round trying to find plots against the black race!! Most of them laugh at racist jokes and don't play the race card every 2 minutes, they are normal black people. So stfu with your bollox, you don't know what you are talking about.

That’s not what you’re saying though. You’re claiming that your opinion on the matter is more valid because you’re black. I’m telling you it isn’t.

Maybe if you stopped to think a bit you might actually realise that direct experience of racism counts for an awful lot - when you face it you learn the nuance and are able to separate out real racism from the claims of it by people who don't know what they are talking about.

Sure. Why don't we ask Michelle Obama then?

This is where you start floundering and completely backpedal on your own "direct experience" comment because you know it's completely untenable.

Right.
A leading Democrat campaigning for her party to win an election.
Good grief.
You really missed the point - the racist accusations are political.
You forget that Trump was famous worldwide long before he began the process of running for office.
He 'became racist' the moment he did.
That alone should give you pause to question the Democrat narrative.

I know what racism really is, thus I have the ability to properly assess any accusation based on real experience, regardless of where those accusations comes from.
You do not - hence you get swept along with political narratives.

Ah yes, she's calling him racist to win the election just like she did against John McCain and Mitt Romney? Oh wait, never mind, that never happened, because they weren't acting blatantly racist.

So, we're discarding Michelle Obama's direct experience because she's a Democrat, and if I start pulling clips from about 100 different random black people, you'd discount their experience also—probably say something like "they've been brainwashed by the media."

So, in essence, when you tell me that direct experience matters, you're actually saying: "Listen to ME. Only MY experience matters. I'm playing identity politics and I feel entitled because I happen to not be white so I'm going to cash in my race card."

No thanks. I wouldn't trust you to tie your own shoelaces, let alone to speak about racism. I'd much prefer to hear from Michelle Obama, who's well read, more sophisticated and a smarter and more introspective person than you will ever know how to be.

No , you missed the point again.
As you have zero experience of racism and I have a lot, I am telling you that I am far better placed than you to discern claims of racism - regardless of where they come from.

Genuinely can't believe that 2 white guys are still preaching what racism is to people who have lived with it - as opposed to just slinging the term around for politics and ideology.
Mad world.
I guess it's such a valuable weapon to propagandists they find it hard to let go.

I am afraid those that have used racism as a weapon for political purposes really have set us back years.
Shame on them.

Hey, Jayram, remember this from last week?

Well, we just another update to the "Russia hoax." This time with DOJ indictments:
The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted two employees of the Russian state-controlled media outlet RT, Kostiantyn Kalashnikov and Elena Afanasyeva, on charges of money laundering and violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). The indictment alleges that they covertly funneled nearly $10 million to a U.S. company to produce and distribute content that promoted Russian interests and aimed to influence U.S. public opinion.

Who are some media personalities that work with this company and are named in the indictment? Tim Pool, Dave Rubin and Benny Johnson, among others.

Tim Pool is already coping and seething and says he was "deceived and is a victim" because he took potentially many millions of dollars from Russian agents.

Damn, I sure hope someone deceives me like that!

Oh good lord, that has nothing to do with the Russia hoax you fell for.
What a pathetic attempt.

Oh and by the way - given the massive hoax about Russian collusion was perpetrated by Obama, Clinton, the FBI and the Justice Dept, I'd be inclined not to believe any more of their BS leading up to an election.
I amalso not sure why you are surprised Russia interfere in other countries politics more generally. Just like the US, I would suspect they do it a lot, though not anywhere near the level of the US, who run the biggest interference of any country on earth in foreign elections.

You can't deny this one because even Tim Pool isn't denying it is Russian money. He's just saying, "they deceived me."

By the way, totally innocent guy. It can happen to anyone that you get paid millions of dollars and you have no idea where the money is coming from. Also, looking at his show, I couldn't imagine why Russians would pay this guy. He's such a straight shooter and completely unbiased:

Because these are the people you watch, based on your garbage-tier political takes. Like, you're 90% aligned with Tim Pool politically. Maybe you don't tune in for his every video, but he's in that same space with other alt-media stooges like Peterson, Elon Musk, Tucker, Russell Brand, Jimmy Dore, that I know that you're a fan of. At least some of them, anyway.

These people are getting paid millions of dollars to tow the Kremlin line.

You're the Kremlin Gremlin for free! Think about that.

The two founders of the Tenet company (that funneled the Russian money), that are listed as "Founder 1" and "Founder 2" are apparently Lauren Chen and her husband.

Lauren Chen is another huge right-wing alt-media figure who's done content with Ben Shapiro, Jordan Peterson, and more recently hosted a "town hall" for Vivek Ramaswamy and countless other stuff. You get the point, she's pretty huge in right-wing alt-media.

I actually remember this person from old YouTube, like even pre-2016, maybe even as far back as 2012. She was sort of part of the "Skeptic" community, aka assholes who got their start by criticizing "crazy feminists" and then it morphed into talking about "cultural Marxism" and the "dangers of immigration."

Just reading the indictment and the level of her involvement and, I wouldn't be surprised if there are more sealed indictments, and that she and her husband have already been arrested. We'll find out how deep the rabbit hole goes in the next few weeks.

Why are so many US conservative commentators gargling Putin's balls? It's so f***ked up. These W****rs call themselves patriots then spend their time shilling for a Russian dictator. Actual fifth columnists wrapped in the stars and stripes.

Farage as well, the nasty manipulative c***.

Pretty weak that Jedi
Embarrassment about your non story i guess.
Your story offers absolutely zero indication that anyone in the US has been involved in working with the Russians on propaganda.
Moreover, there is another story about (yet another) Chinese spy infiltrating the Democrat party - but apparently that's not news to you.

But but Russia.
Everything is their fault and the west is squeaky clean and doesn't interfere through propagands in other countries... of course not...

p.s the Ukraine is a true enemy of Western values. A Dictatorship that bans media and opposition parties and is filled with Nazi's.
