Frimpong joins Fulham until the end of the season

So Frimmy has joined Fulham until the end of the season.

Emmanuel Frimpong joins Fulham on loan
Emmanuel Frimpong has joined Fulham on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 21-year-old midfielder has recently returned from a six-week loan spell with Championship side Charlton Athletic, where he featured six times for the Addicks.

Frimpong, who battled back from a seven-month injury lay-off in September 2012, has also appeared twice for the Arsenal first team this season - in the Capital One Cup victories over Coventry City and Reading.

The Ghanaian-born youngster came through the Arsenal academy, which he joined as an 11-year-old, and played a key role in the Club’s 2009 FA Youth Cup victory. He has so far made 16 first-team appearances for the Gunners.

Everyone at the Club wishes Emmanuel the best of luck during his time with Fulham.

Surely more indication of a DM coming in?

Why? Now if no one is signed we have even less cover in the DM/CM role..

Hopefully he manages to get himself a fair amount of game time - he's not going to improve by warming our bench.

A new DM is a must though (Wanyama please)

£5m for Frimmy - whose contract expires in the summer of 2014?

Nah, £3m tops.

Still don't think we should sell him personally.

Squillaci, Santos, Chamakh, Bendtner, Arshavin and Denilson should be offloaded before we start thinking about Frimpong imo

No chance. Wenger:

''What I worry about is getting the players who have been injured back fit''

ie Arteta & Coquelin. With Diaby = no need for a DM.

I don't think this is the end of Frimpong's Arsenal career.

I'd like to think that this is just prepping him for first team action next season (as was done with Jack to Bolton) however, consecutive loans are never a good thing if you're an Arsenal player..... But I hope I'm wrong on the latter count

Rambo went on consecutive loans when coming back from injury - just like FRIMPONG!

I know, it's just that we've lost a lot of good academy players (Simpson, Lansbury, JET, Bartley etc.) and you could tell it was coming due to consecutive loans. But as I said, hopfully I'm wrong and it will be just the same as Jack and Rambo.
