Nasri and Frimpong will not face action over tunnel row

Postby Trina » Sun Dec 04, 2011 9:42 am

Manchester City's Samir Nasri and Arsenal's Emmanuel Frimpong will not face action over their row in the tunnel after Tuesday's Carling Cup tie.

The pair clashed verbally after City's 1-0 victory at Emirates Stadium but the incident has not been reported to the Football Association.

Nasri and Frimpong were involved in a heated exchange at the final whistle.

"It was handbags but they didn't even touch," said an Arsenal spokesman. "Words were exchanged - that was that."

It is better that he played tonight so when he comes back to play here in the league he knows what will happen

Roberto Mancini Manchester City manager

He added: "Sami was speaking in French and Mani wasn't.

"There were no punches thrown but there was a lot of noise."

During the match, Nasri was given a torrid time by the Gunners' fans on his first return to Arsenal since his summer move to City.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini said: "For him, it is better that he played tonight so when he comes back to play here in the league he knows what will happen."

At the time Nasri left Arsenal, Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere tweeted: "Good luck to my friend @Nanas08 (mr Nasri) learnt a lot from him. World class player! Will be missed!"

But Frimpong reacted by tweeting: "'Pffffff come on Jack."

According to my friends forums it all stems from frimpong giving nasri a 'bench' jacket. Legend

The "Bench" jacket thing is myth.

It began as a 'vest' then 'tee-shirt' both of which Nasri thought said "Dench" until it was unfolded to reveal "Bench" and then finally it became 'jacket'...

Cool story bro... But non-existent.

The actual story... Which someone mentioned here is much funnier.

Nasri attempted to swing at Frimps then ran into the away dressing room - True story.

Nasri has no pride as a man. You swing, you stay and finish.

He swung then legged it :rofll:

He threw a little hissy fit then realised he was standing infront of a man with shoulders the size of his head.

... Frimps in your avater looks like he's struggling to fight the urge to squash Nasri's head! "I'll sort your teeth out if you want me to blud!"

It's pretty fair to say there was no jacket involved, or any swinging going on. We was on our way out the ground and then saw a group of players gathering, you could see Nasri walking over to Frimpong laughing which was when he then took his top off. Frimpong was then pointing at the bench and sharing more words which then led to Nasri squaring up to Frimpong resulting into Frimps shoving Nasri. It all then spilling down into the tunnel, but it does sound Frimps got the better off him on and off the pitch, Top boy!

Sorry, Nasri swung at Frimpong in the tunnel, then ran for the dressing room. This is a fact.
