Don't know if this has been raised but what was Sagna thinking or doing that he allowed Lennon have like a whole 6 yards behind him. I don't blame Scez for the Pen..

anyways, same team, same changes, no results - why are we surprised?

........ 1 - nil to The Arsenal

Gotta be said though, both of our sides know how to serve up entertainmnt.

N. London derby is never dull.

Well said entertaining for you but for us to lose leads like we have all season is very bad. :arsenal3:

lucifer82 wrote:I watched that game in a different mindset to most, I think. Saddens me to say it, but I was more concerned about us not losin. For me, we'd given up our chance to win the leauge countless times previous. Knowin how we can't deal with pressure and how we often capitulate in big/important games, I was petrified we'd lose here, knowin if we did the media would create a complete load of b*llocks about the power shift, Redknapp bein a better manager, Bale bein the greatest sportsman in the solar system, Van Der Vaart bein better than Fabregas etc etc. Thankfully, we didn't lose. But, again we reaffirmed my belief that we just simply can't defend. We looked petrified without the ball, clueless, tentative, you name it. 3-1 on 40mins, we should be takin that into halftime. Yeah, it was a cracker that got em back in it, the type of goal they always seem to score against us (probably cos they at least try it, and we don't). But 3-2 just before half time was the worst thing that could have happened. The players knew "Shit. They're back in it. Now we've really gotta defend and we can't... sshhhh*t!". D'you remember not so long ago when we used to get mentioned in the same breath as Barcelona, for our passin, possession stats etc. Well, if we were half as good as them at keepin the ball, we wouldn't give so many leads away, methinks.

Like I say, my mind has accepted we won't win the league, it had a while ago. But I thought, wouldn't it be nice if we beat THAT lot, restore some pride, and don't just let the season finish on a whimper. Well, too early to say if we will or we won't, but I really wanna see a time, one not in the distant future where we have an intelligence about our game in terms of controllin the pace of it, have that ability to shut up shop instead of shakin like a leaf every time our opponents get in our half. Gutted we drew in the end. Gutted. But weirdly, quitely happy/relieved they didn't beat us. Phew.

well said what ever happened to 1-0 to the Arse you are dead right this team cant defend not consistantly and that wins titles. :)

That said, I'd imagine my all encompassing intellect can sometimes give the impression to mortals like yourself that you are dealing with many brilliant minds instead of simply one magnificent one.

Ah but you see, I didn't consciously choose to follow Spurs.

It was Tottenham that chose me.

It's a calling, a vocation.

A quest.

Ah, but if you had my intellect you could easily describe it.

I actually feel sorry for you guys, it must get rather tiresome having to concentrate to blink.
