Blackpool Vs Arsenal | Premiership 10/04/2011

Lehmann was Lehmann, quality but absolutely mental, exactly the way a keeper should be...

Would be happy for him to continue in goal, only going to get better as he plays more games.

Dont think he had any mental moments.

Was very solid.

Was what we needed as Kozza was having a shocker.

Very impressed with Toto again though

You are kidding right? he should have been sent off. If they hadn't scored it would definitely have been a peno and Jens would likely have gotten his marching orders.

How is any of that mental?

The incident where he might have got sent off, happens every week in the PL. Keepers are rounded and players are brought down.

Getting to the ball first and heading it clear isnt mental to me either although i dont remember that bit

Sometimes I think you are disagreeing just for the sake of it VTMP. So keepers drag players down and get sent off every week?

What was he supposed to do?

Let him go past?

Its a part and parcel of being a keeper

Fortunately they scored straight after

Only Gomez

Lehmann rushed out a few times, but cleared the ball, there was one point when he nearly reached the centre circle

I think he and the Blackpool keeper were having a competition to see who could actually get outside their area the most times

Regardless of whether he should have been sent off or not, it was a quality display from him.

Look back to the CL final and ask yourself what you would rather have happened then? You would had preferred Barca to get a goal and stay with 11 men right?

He didn't get sent off but Blackpool got a goal, justice done IMO.

GREAT RESULT good game from Diaby and good to see Jens coming for those balls keeper should never be afraid to challenge.

If fabianski or almunia had come off their line and made that challenge we'd all be criticizing them. Jens does it and we praise him!
