agreed, exactly what I thought and exactly what we need
the starting XI was looking a little too cosy

When you think how little Eboue has played this season his commitment was excellent.
A lot of other players would've had a giant sulk on by now.

AW should've rotated him with Sagna a bit more, especially when we had a game every 5 minutes.

Lost his man in the build up to their goal though.

Has to be said that despite the yellow card and the hesitant finishing Diaby was very good. His work in the build up for the RVP goal was great and his dribbling and run for the oppener was immense.

Diaby was decent today (not MOTM, Cesc was and by a distance) but don't forget he was decent against Blackpool at home as well. They are pretty much our perfect opposition and also his. Let's see how he does for the last 7 games, though I expect he'll be injured for at least 3 of them

I agree, Cesc=MOTM. Defo what we were missing in the B'burn game. On his day, Cesc is our 1st line of offense.

I thought Cesc was decent but not MOTM imo.

He looked like a rusty version of himself and he tired considerably after an hour. Not really surprising seeing as he's returning from injury.
Seen him play much better than that.

Don't really know who should be MOTM but Jack was very solid defensively today.

I narrowed it down to Cesc & Diaby. I picked Cesc because I don't think we could have created all the chances we did today if it wasn't for Cesc. Wilshere was defo good today, i totally agree.

Cesc was brilliant in the first half, absolutely magnificent. He kept ripping blackpool's defense over and over again.
2nd half he was a bit rusty so motm goes to diaby for me

what :dizzy: ? Cesc was really good today and fed the ball so often to RvP. He had some amazing passes and could've easilly had 3+ assists.

His over the top through balls were great as usual, not taking that away from him but he also got caught in possession a few times and gave the ball away by trying too many one-touch flick-ons.
A fully fit Cesc would either nail those or not attempt them in the first place. Blackpool hassled him and didn't give him time on the ball and it worked. Normally he's calmer and just creates his own space.

I didn't say he was crap I just said it was obvious that he was returning from injury. I'm sure that in 2-3 games time he'll be back to his old self.

Very good aside from one moment where he could have been sent off and would have been a penalty had Blackpool not scored on the advantage. Made a couple saves Almunia wouldn't have and commanded his box well, catching quite a few crosses
