You're mad, Denilson was atrocious. He was actually worse than Diaby and that takes some doing. He did nothing productive at all, gave the ball away constantly, was brushed aside too easily all game and made half a dozen 'Denilson fouls', you know, those ones in very dangerous areas that make you wonder if he ever learned how to tackle.

Diaby's way better for me.

He usually shows something to get everyone excited after he's had a run of games... but when was the last time he had a run of games?

He gets a couple under his belt then someone tries to removes his foot from his leg. A little luck with injuries and people may feel differently about him.

United lost 3-1. The draw yesterday now doesn't seem so bad. Although, I'm sure we're kicking ourselves (as always) for missing a huge opportunity

nope, if we had won yesterday, maybe united would have won today, it;'s like saying maybe united would have been beaten 5-0 by Wigan last week :)

Denilson is better at defending than Diaby, Diaby is better going forward than Denilson. There isn't much between them, both are average and if they had come through the youth system would have been offloaded by now! There is no point arguing who is better or worse between the two, neither should be starting! Ramsey and Lansbury should have their places in the squad next season IMO!

Games played by both of them. Denilson seems to have played many more. Yes Diaby has been injured a lot but the fact Denilson is rarely injured is also a plus point for Denilson over Diaby.

Better passer, better defending, better shooting amonst others as well.

Diaby has the better dribbling but then i dont see the point in dribbling past 3 or 4 players and then playing a shit pass and ultimately losing the ball as he so often does

Diaby's always injured, that would explain the difference in gametime.

IMO:
Denilson is a steady Eddie. Bring him on when you're cruising and you can play out the game at a steady pace and be reasonably safe. Diaby can be a game changer depending on his position. Give him a free role and he'll create something. He's still pony when it comes to defence but he's very attacking and on form he has great footwork and is very direct.

Neither are anywhere near starting though!

It's purely down to injuries.
Diaby has been called 'Wenger's love child' on this forum many times before now, simply because whenever he's fit he seems to start games, even when better players are fit.

If Diaby had stayed fit this season Denilson would've been on the bench permanently.
