This. If no Fabregas, slot Nasri into the middle and slap Rosicky on the wing. I'll be gutted for Cesc if he can't captain his side in a cup final after these years of hard work. But dont worry Fabs, how does the Champions League or FA Cup final sound instead? :sneaky2:

All this, 'players need a break' is ridiculous in my opinion.
These guys are proffessional atheletes who should currently be hitting thier peak levels of fitness.

IF the players arent rotated while playing in 4 competitions against top level opposition, you end up with muscle pulls/hamstring problems etc.

Our players cover a lot of ground 2-3 times a week competitively, never mind having to put up with the overly physical approach alot of teams employ against us. We just played Stoke and lost 2 players, Diaby nearly had his leg taken off in the Newcastle game and now we've got to play Birmingham on Sunday, a team who will most definately put the boot in again to get hold of their best chance of silverware in years.

I completely understand Wenger's ethos in regards to resting players. We've still got a shit load of games to get through, most of our players have played full seasons, have been coming off long layoffs and have also played in the WC during the summer.

An injury desimated squad coming up to the business end of the season has cost us too many times, its a miracle we have got this far with a relatively fit squad.

Ive always wondered why a team like Farcelona dont get more injuries until i realised the protection they get from refs home and abroad.
