Sorry but why on Earth would you rest a goalkeeper?

Big guns set to return for Birmingham
Arsène Wenger will welcome Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie and Alex Song back into his squad for tomorrow’s trip to Birmingham.
Van Persie and Song were left out of the squad for Wednesday’s 2-2 draw against Wigan while Fabregas served a suspension after picking up five bookings. But all three are available again for the game at St Andrew’s.
That was the manager’s good news during his usual pre-match press conference on Friday morning but he did confirm that Abou Diaby will be out until late January.
“We get back Song, Fabregas – who was suspended – and Van Persie,” said Wenger.
“They will be back in the squad.“We lose Diaby for a calf strain, [he will miss] three weeks approximately.”
“The squad will be approximately the squad that has gone to Wigan."
