In the past people have blamed Arshavin for this but whats Clichy's excuse this time? If that mistake had resulted in a goal and we hadnt won the game then everyone even the most biased Clichy fans would have accepted there is something wrong with this guys form but just because he got lucky and it didnt result in a goal it doesnt mean we should forget about it.

Clichy by far is the weakest link in our defense. Again I know some of you will say I am anti-clichy and i pick on him well i dont care what you think I am just stating what I saw. Maybe I notice Clichy more because he makes more mistakes? I also saw Wilshere make some mistakes but I can forgive him, he is 18 and this is his first season but Clichy has been in the team for 4-5 years.

They got Djourou's rating upside down...

ProudGooner, I thought Clichy was alright, I didn't notice many mistakes, although I don't concentrate on him as much as you do because I think he's a good player. I probably notice it more when Diaby gives the ball away to be honest.

Atlast Wenger uses his brain rather than his blind philosophy. Last 2 games we lost to chelsea we lost because Cole setup Drogba. Today because we had theo cole hardly ever got out of his own half. He never in the entire game was able to get past our back 4. That was all because we had theo and he was scared of his pace.

Chosing Djorou over Squlli was was the right decision too to counter Drogba's threat. Wenger needs to do this for every game. Look at the opposition, pay them some respect and alter the personnel that are selected based on their strengths. Its not professional to say we dont need to worry about others we will just play out game.

Exactly

Then after we scored, Cole HAD to venture forward to assist in the attack and Theo made him pay twice, first setting up Cesc then scoring himself

We could of and should of scored more, Nasri should have scored and RvP should have scored in the 1st 5 mins...

And Diaby, only if someone had told him he does have a left foot too.

He really doesnt. I dont think ive ever seen a ball touch it. Its weird, its almost like his right foot is world cup standard and his left is Blue Square South standard.

I swear he does. I am sure I saw him in a CL game scoring with his left like one of those Thierry Henry goals vs inter milan.

07/08
blackburn[a]cc
4minutes into the game bendtner picks out diaby on the far post from the right flank who expertly fires in a volley
past friedel into the opposite corner he had a good game that night
08/09
fenerbahce[a]
diaby takes a ball, holds off 2 players to out strip the defence and finishes expertly across the keeper with his left foot to put us 3-1 in front against a side unbeaten at home in 15 games
he was magnificent this night given licence to support adebayor.his dynamic runs and tight control made him a constant menace

I've decided you're not actually a person but a man-made AI that rebelled against its Tottenham-supporting creator and chose Arsenal instead. This would also explain why your first few posts on this forum looked like feedback from compiling programming scripts.

So you didnt see the disaster he almost created singlehandedly?

Why did Djourou make a difference? His height! I've been saying for years we need a tall CB!

Trying to think of a Djourou song:

Johan Djourou, Arsenal's defensive rock
He halted Drogba in his tracks Djourou, Djourou
He's one of the league's best centre backs Djourou, Djourou
He's big and Swiss and good in the air
And unlike Terry he plays fair
Johan Djourou, Arsenal's defensive rock

Just saw on another forum "Who kept the Drog out? Djou-djou-Djourou"

Nothing to do with his height, rather the fact he can head the ball and read the game, has pace and is good with his feet.

Some of those traits don't usually run with CB's as tall as Djourou, i.e. Actual pace and intelligence...

Just goes to show that sometimes, people can be blinded by hatred. You could concentrate on the mistakes he made or you could look at all of the interceptions, tracking back, MASSIVE tackles, thankless runs he made to make space for others!

We could all bitch about Cesc and how he gave away some really simple 2 yard passes but we dont, because we prefer to focus on what he did do right.

Yes he made one mistake and yes, it was frustrating because he wasnt really under any pressure but so what, that one mistake didnt lead to their goal, Kos not keeping the defensive line and also putting in some token challenge in on Ivanovic did.

Its not blind hatred. Its the same mistake repeated over and over again. It is a fact. Just think if it had resulted in a goal what would you be saying right now? So because he got lucky and got away with it why do you have to talk differently about his mistake?

Is this the logic that your mistakes will be judged on the result of the game? I dont follow this logic.
