Why didn't he just drop though, the ref probably would have stopped the game as it's a head injury rather than doing the brave(Or stupid) thing and staying on his feet and not defending properly(Not his fault though).

Man I got a headache just watching that.

I thought the same at the time but when I watched it back on MOTD you see that after the intitial clash, the ref looks away and at the ball and never looks back at Koscielny. Even if he had dropped I'm not sure the game woulda stopped. There'd deffo be more uproar about it though

Ah right, I didn't notice.

I was too busy holding my head after watching the clash, it was a proper full on connection, his head bounced back and everything. Brutal!

I don't really understand why pundits feel we can be top of the table nearly half way through the season but not at the end. Especially since we are still rehabilitating players like RVP, Walcott and Bendtner as well as hopfully seeing Vermaelen return sooner rather than later.

Because they're idiots and talk shite... simple really. :dontknow:

They have a general bias against Arsenal for whatever reason. Be it the number of foreign players, they played elsewhere as professionals, they grew up supporting another club or they just hate London... whatever...

I don't need a pundit to tell me what I already know though.

Aslong as Man Utd and Chelsea keep slipping we'll have a chance.

Would like to see some more direct goalscorers being played each week though.

They won't for too much longer I think. Terry and Alex have returned for Chelsea and now they have two deadly wing backs with bosingwa back. Man utd looks to be over injuries, and Rooney is prob slowly gathering form again as well. I still don't rate Utd's chances higher than Chelsea though. I think Berbatov will cool down, Ferdinand will show he's aging, and their midfield will continue to feel vacant of that extra umph, perhaps in the absence of Antonio Valencia.

What's the deal with Alex?

He was going to have the knee surgery, then he wasn't, then he didn't play this weekend... And on PL World this week in his interview with them he said he was having it. :dontknow:

Anybody know?

Just checked Chelsea's site, in the match report they said that because Terry returned Alex was able to travel to Brazil to have the surgery on his knee. No mention of how long he's out.

And from another article...

'Alex had surgery this week, he cleaned his knee and needs six to eight weeks to recover.

Think they'll put Ivanovich in then, but didn't he play mostly RB last year with Bosingwa out? I haven't been to impressed with him at CB.

Yes I believe so. He's been decent, but he's no Alex for sure.
