I don't think you're being harsh on Vela, he really wasn't at his best today.

He should have had a pair of goals today.

I don't really care at all if Vela stays or goes. I'm being completely honest folks. We got Bendy RvP and Chamakh. Someone's bound to get frustrated and I would rather have it be Vela than Bendy. Just promote up from reserves once he's gone but use that money Wenger.

Just looking at the squad (No I didn't watch the match) it looks like Wenger really wants it this year. I wouldn't be surprised if we win it, but I wouldn't be surprised if we lost it at the semis either.

Wtf? That was Vela's best game for us in a while! Ok he didn't score but he assisted and should've had 2 more assists if Theo could finish and if Robin Van Rohypnol ran faster than my dead gran.

I notice Rohypnol getting chosen as man of the match on arse dot com. Is that for his assist or goal? Or maybe its just our Bengali support giving it to him. Or maybe its because he got hit in the face and didn't require 18 months out?

Lol IMF.

Yeah he's injury prone but that doesn't all of a sudden make him a poor player.

Vela's problem is he goes to ground too easily. In one of the moves where RVP fould him and setup a 1 v 1 he lost his footing as this guy from the right came towards him. But it looked strange to me. I was wondering at the time did he really slip? Or was it his reflex action whereby he wanted to dive but in this occassion the defender wasnt really near enough?

Why does he keep on falling. He would be a much better player if he would stay on his feet.

As for RVP he create 2 1v1 for Vela with some amazing flicks. He was good.

Also, RVP clearly showed to me yesterday what we miss from set pieces when he is not there.

His free kicks are so good. I really want to see RVP and Chamakh play together upfront.

I've been saying that since he arrived at the club. Goes down far too easily.

You just never know what you're going to get with Vela, he'll either give you a hatrick of chipped goals or just fall over for 90 minutes.
It can't help that he never gets games, we should loan him to a Prem club who would start him in 70% of games.

Yes it doesnt help when he doesnt get games but the reason for that is he has been injured quite often or been away on stupid trips to south america playing some meaningless games for mexico.

He is a bit like Reyes. Loads of talent and potential, technically really good but if he had to choose between staying up and using his power and energy to ride a few challenges or choose to go down then he will take the easy option of going down. Reyes was like this too. Its almost like it is a reflex action to him.

watched the highlights and vela really looked decent given freedom. i think if he got premier league games could cause trouble with the players we have in atm we would be hard pushed to find a place apart from shava off form i really like vela and think he can be a beast for us i think he needs time in the prem to get himself some game time and am abit disapointed wenger hasnt allready given him a few months out
