Just a horrible second half, we weren't up for it the moment we came out for the restart. Denilson was probably our best player, he was sprinting everywhere for 90 minutes and never gave up.

Dunno how van der Vaart didn't get sent off, 5 fouls that went unpunished plus going into the crowd should equal red according to the law of the game (then he wouldn't have been on to set up the winner) but oh well, that's life.

Also, Bale was toilet for the first half and the goal was the only thing he did right.

that law is bollocks
if a player can,t go and celebrate with his own fans then the game is dead
as long as the time is added on what is the problem?

I agree 100% but he got a booking for it so he should have gone off the next foul he made, since three fouls ago Dowd said 'one more'.

I hate the rule as much as you do.

Just saw the handball again. It was Chamakh's arm that the ball hit. Cesc was holding Chamakh's arm, either to keep the wall together or keep it down, maybe both. But he still put it up above his head and it hit his arm.

Cesc said he did it to stop the ball hitting his face.

It was an idiotic move, you take a ball to the face if it means you don't concede.

What makes it even more daft is the fact the ball was nowhere near his face. He'd put his hand up to protect Chamakh's face.

[PG]If that was Naldo he would've taken the ball in the face and swiftly started a counter attack![/PG]
