Eastmond > Wilshere ???? I prefer my brain cells.

Yet you clearly do not understand football. Stick to home runs & touch downs maybe?

Not cool.

I'd have Wilshere over Eastmond DM too if I'm honest.

Who had been sitting as a holding midfielder while Song was barreling forward all the time? Thats right, its was Wilshere. My brain cells are intact. Care to explain the difference of opinion, or are insults your argument?

Wilshere was playing as DM alongside Eastmond, but Eastmond who was originally a RB, is more defensive than the other midfielders, his problem, is his distribution of the ball, he doesnt put enough weight on his passes

We play a 4-2-3-1 formation

So complacency is to blame then? How many times have we heard that? Will Arsenal ever learn? It was another match in which we gave away the lead. The group is no longer a gift too. If we go away to Braga like we did against Donetsk, we'll be in trouble.
There's David O'Leary and big Willie Young, sending Rixy and Stapleton off on a run

What Cyn is trying to say is that despite the fact that all 3 players are massively better than Eastmond, it was a necessary evil to play him because of the nature of his position, which is naturally defensive, whereas the others are naturally attack minded.

Seems I hit a nerve. Basically what GG said. Eastmond may be the rawest, least talented DM at the club but a DM he remains and was the only real option other than Lansbury (who i'd have picked). You won't see 3 attacking midfielders in the middle because it's simply stupid, especially away from home. Not even Wenger is that mad.

Wilshere can do a job in a 2 with a proper DM but he aint no holding player

Rigid adherence to particular positions is not something I subscribe to. Quality players can respond when asked to do something. If Wilshere was told that was his position for the game, he would have done it. Its not like he would be doing something he is unfamiliar with anyway, he does it half the game as it is. I don't see why it is I hit a nerve.

JET started out as a CB, he could have played there and would have been better than Eastmond. Stronger, more composed on the ball and all-round better quality than Eastmond IMO.

You will hit a nerve if you finish a comment by saying 'anyone with two brain cells can see that'.
It also doesn't help if you roll out the racist remarks.
By saying 'seems I hit a nerve' you almost make it sound like an accident!

Just make your point and leave it at that.

How the f**k was that racist? Do people even know what racist means anymore?

MY GOD

And yeah I was surprised it hit a nerve as it was said in jest. Not gonna defend the brain cells comment though, I meant it and it's true.

Are you really saying that you don't understand how this comment is racist:

I would suggest that it's you that isn't sure what racism means.

So basically you meant the brain cells comment but somehow you're still surprised that it hit a nerve?
Provocative remarks tend to provoke people. Shocking news I know.

I understand exactly where you're coming from with the whole Eastmond v Wilshere debate but to say that anyone who disagrees with you is basically thick is a bit strong and bound to get a reaction. You can't really be all that surprised about that surely?

We've played a midfield 3 without a DM before, everyone just put a defensive shift in and sat back when needed.

Not even remotely racist. Unless you consider americans to be a race, which they are not. So no, it's you misunderstanding and misusing the term.

By the way it wasn't even a slight on all americans, just him. We have a couple very knowledgeable ones on here

No I was surprised the OTHER comment hit a nerve, the brain cells one was obvious bait and I'm not even defending it but I did mean what I said.

I'm a straight talker and consider it a failure of plitical correctness if you can't call a spade a spade and tell someone they are talking rubbish
